The size was perfect for the shelf I put it on. The pieces were sturdy and easy to assemble, especially with the sand paper. Overall, it was beautiful!

As with all intricate wooden model kits, this one was a challenge to put together. More so since it has moving parts, but for me there is a difference between being a good challenge and a bad challenge. This one was a good challenge in my opinion.I'll start with the kit quality and building process. This kit contain 5 wooden sheets. Not all the sheets are the same type of finish or thickness but this is intentional. Some parts of the boat require thinner pieces and others require thicker more sturdy ones. The pieces themselves take some force to push out of the sheet. I recommend taking an x-acto knife to help cut through the "tabs" holding each piece to the wood sheet. This will help minimize splintering. Unfortunately, the wood quality is pretty typical for this type of kit so splintering is normal no matter how careful you are. That being said, most of the splintering was superficial and did not effect the actual construction of the boat. I recommend having some glue on hand just in case. Silicone glue is my go-to. The kit also included string, the sails, the spring mechanism, wax, and sandpaper all were solid quality.The construction process starts with putting together the main moving mechanism of the boat (yes it actually moves). This part was what I found to be the most difficult, especially when putting the spring mechanism in. It requires alot of maneuvering and force to be able to get the spring correctly positioned and I was worried one of the parts would give but thankfully nothing did. Once that main part was completed the rest was relatively easier to put together. I'm not sure where I went wrong with mine, but I realized a bit too late that one of the gears only moved when I put slight pressure on it. It was too late to take apart and fix once I noticed so I tried to MacGyver something with a rubber band to somewhat of a success. Definitely make sure that the gears move smoothly when you're prompted to check. I thought the instructions were fairly easy to read, however, a video guide would've been greatly appreciated for certain parts, especially in the beginning. I hope one will be uploaded in the future.As for the final product. I have no complaints. It looks absolutely stunning and I love that the sails can be rolled up like an actual sail boat. Mine does not move as shown in the listing, but that's more on me for not checking properly before finishing the boat. Overall, I think this is a great kit both as a gift to someone who enjoys crafts or for any one who loves putting together wooden models. It was definitely difficult and took alot of patience but the payoff was worth it. Somethings I think could be improved are having a video tutorial, as well as a few more spare pieces. There are spares for the small and easily breakable pieces, but some small parts only have one copy so if you accidently lose it or break it then it's a problem. That being said, I would still give my recommendation for this product and I look forward to making other kits from this brand.

All parts fit perfectly if you follow the instructions.Instructions are clear and easy to follow.When completed this model looks great and works as advertised.I give this 5 stars.

Ugears is definitely one of the top names in the wooden model space. Maybe it is the top. Their designs are known for innovation and efficiency. It almost seems a waste to put this much skill into designing wooden models.Ugears Serenity Dream Yacht is no exception to the quality that Ugears puts out. This particularly puzzle is not that big nor complex. It’s not small and simple though either. It can be someone’s first puzzle. I’d rate it similar to the Ugears Dragster. It’s challenging, but doable for beginners. Fun and light for experts.Great model. Very satisfying. A++

Wr buy these all the time. This one was extremely brittle and we used bottle of gorilla glue. Ended up tossing it. Mad.
