Yes you can. I use these for kombucha fermentation. Just leave a small space for expansion.

Can you put these bottles and the gaskets in an autoclave?

Another way to sterilize is to place them on the lowest rack of a cold oven, set the oven for 180 degrees Fahrenheit and turn it on. When the oven reaches temperature set a timer for 20 minutes. Turn the oven off when the timers goes off and allow the bottles to cool. You don’t have to remove the silicone gasket but you can if you want. Just make sure it is washed properly before you use it. Fill the bottles as soon as possible.

Excellent quality for kombucha or apple cider vinegar.

I've been using these to bottle kombucha and they seal well. The flip-top mechanism holds up well to the harsh acidic liquid as it ferments. I've not had any failures of the glass or sealing function.I'm buying another 2 dozen today.

Excellent product.

Making root beer and ginger beer from a ginger bug, and have to say, these are phenomenal bottles. Great seal and easy to work with, decent price and very sturdy. Love them!Editing to add: I tried a cheap brand (half of the price at Menards), figuring, hey why not? 1 of the 6 actually holds a seal lol. Very much worth it to get these ones. I've used them repeatedly now, and they continue to be amazing. Just bought another set because I use them so frequently.

Good quality

Got here faster than originally thought! They are good quality, actually dropped them while unboxing and no damage. Size is perfect for the ginger bug sodas I’m working on making and there was zero leaks when filled!

Great bottles for water kefir!

These bottle work great! They are nice thick glass. Easy to open and close. I use them for making water kefir and the pressure from the carbonation can get quite high and these have had no issues. I also like the size, big enough for a couple servings. Washing them has been super easy, just rinse with hot soapy water. I already ordered another set!
