Yes this is a fairly short chain, which can limit your options when looking for somewhere to lock up. However I have found it is still long enough to go around a standard bike stand, the bike frame and the back wheel. However the plus side is that this chain isn't TOO heavy (although it's not light either) and it is easy to carry on the bike by wrapping it once around the seat post.As for the security, it seems pretty good, and I haven't had my bike nicked after about 2 years. But you never really know. Hope I haven't just jinxed it!The after-sales support from Kryptonite is excellent. After about a year of use, the polyester sleeve around the chain had started to fray. I emailed Kryptonite and a couple of weeks later they shipped me two replacement sleeves free of charge!

This is the second lock I've had. The first lasted 9 years and it was the locking part that started to stick and had trouble opening it. It's on my gates so out in all weather's and never had any rusting, material around the lock is excellent would highly recommend this lock

It's a hefty chain, the thef is probably gonna need power tools and a lot of time.

It's only been a month, but I live in a rough area, and my bike still hasn't been stolen!The lock is shorter than expected, but easily long enough to wrap around a standard bike rack and through the frame only.It's pretty heavy, which is something to bare in mind if traveling with it. I guess almost 2kg (so like carrying 2-liter bottle of coke around).The locking mechanism is easy to lock + unlock quickly, and it comes with three keys.It doesn't include a second lead to go around the front wheel, so I bought a light-weight, alarmed lock for that, just to act as a deterrent.

Yes it isn't that long which I see people complaining about but they give measurements. Great bike lock, leaves my mind at peace when I lock it up in my city. If someone is robbing your bike with this on they have been watching you for a while. Being tradesman myself you need some serious equipment to get through this lock

This thing is solid looks great and seems to be a durable piece.I thought it was a bit longer tho it’s pretty hard to tie around a pole and the Frame/wheel of the bike. I would suggest to get the size up from this one if it’s for a mountain bike. And definitely if it’s for a motorcycle

As a lock it's too expensive. However, as a modern equivalent of the medieval flail it's a bargain. Handy for scattering pitch fork carrying peasants.

Es una cadena de mucha calidad, gruesa y pesada. Compré la más pequeña para mi bici pero sí es pequeña aunque imagino que si esta es pesada más larga sería mayor el esfuerzo y la molestia de transportarla. Se ve super segura y el candado muy sólido. Un poco molesto de operar por el sistema y el peso pero definitivamente lo recomiendo, vale mucho la pena. Tuve suerte de comprarla en promoción porque es muy cara. ¿Lo vale? Mmmmmm, creo que no pagaría lo que cuesta ahora. La OKG de 12 mm con candado incluido que también tengo es de muchísima calidad, el candado no tanto pero cumple y por menos de la mitad del precio. Ese sí vale cada peso que cuesta. Con kryptonite también pagas marca.

I bought this to use as a wheel lock for my fat tire ebike, as I couldn't find a cafe lock that could accommodate my tires and beefy frame. It is the perfect size for this. I use this along with the NY Fuggetaboutit U-Lock also from Kryptonite. If the primary anchor lock is defeated this will stop the thief from simply walking away with the bike. Nothing will stop a determined and prepared thief, but this adds another layer of deterrence so hopefully they will move on to an easier target.

O Produkte cumpre todas as expectativas que tinha.Há apenas duas coisas a ter em mente antes de comprar:-A corrente é pesada, tem de o ser para ser robusta, no entanto pode ser inconveniente de transportar se não se utilizar um cesto ou alforge.-55cm parece um bom comprimento, mas é mais pequena do que isso faz parecer, prender a bicicleta a um posto de luz pública com esta corrente, por exemplo, não é possível.
