The WRITE Stuff!
Another fantastic budget fountain pen from JINHAO. Expensive pens are great but a great writing experience need not break the bank.

Good enough pen
These pens are not bad, and really pretty. The nib isn't my favorite. I like the Pilot Kakuno 100% better as a budget pen, but this is a nice pen, hence why I'm giving it 4 stars. It's all subjective, you might like it or hate it more than me.

Absolutely Love!
I purchased the Milk Tea, Fine Nib, and I absolutely love it! I wanted to wait awhile after purchasing to give an honest review. I read other reviews and some had mentioned theirs leaked. However, this has not been my experience. The pen writes amazingly well and only a few times had I needed to dip the nib in warm water because it clogged after I didn't use it for a few days. Human error. I did notice that when I first received it from Amazon it was fully inked up. So, I am guessing it was a return. However, I took the pen apart, fully flushed out all the pieces, then reassembled, and filled with FWP Writing Desk ink. It fits nicely with my growing collection.

Leaks
I use fountain pens daily so I know how to load, and hold them. I have at least 10. Thought I’d try a smaller one. Should have know by the price what I was getting in to. Use this pen for less than two hours and it began to leak everywhere. Yes the cartridge was in correctly. It was leaking from the nib, the flow was too fast. Because the body of the pen is transparent I could see it was beginning to back up inside as well. I talk with my hands. One can imagine how far and how much splash was all over my clothes, walls, desk. Little specks of ink at first. I noticed it because of a large drop on my paper. Looked down and my pants were ruined with two large drops of ink. This pen was just received and the first time I used it.Extremely disappointing. I threw it out. No way I was keeping this around and messing with any more ink dripping and ruining anything else.My husband also isn’t happy. He just repainted my office. Ouch!

Nice pen, very unique color - Milk Tea
I bought a JINHAO 82 Fountain Pen, Milk Tea Color, Fine 0.5 mm Nib from Amazon (ASIN B0CCRDY6YW). The pen arrived on time and intact. The color is wonderful - "Milk Tea" is a perfect description. The pen may be a little small for someone with big hands - it is 4.86" (123.44 mm) long capped, 4.35" (110.49 mm) uncapped, and 5.49" (139.45 mm) posted. The screw on cap posts securely. The cap is 0.58" (14.73 mm) in diameter at the cap band. The barrel is 0.481" (12.19 mm) in diameter at its widest. I call the nib to be an Asian Fine which would be considered a Western Extra Fine. Be prepared for some minor nib adjustments and/or smoothing at the beginning. In conclusion, a well behaved pen in a very unique color.

A fine point that writes like a medium - it's good
I ordered a Fine point - and it writes like a medium. Other then that its a good light weight and fun looking pen... If I were to order another one - I'd make sure it was an Xtra fine point

Writes Perfectly - Beautiful
Jinhao 82 Transparent Olive •Fine•.This pen is beautiful in Olive. It writes perfectly, fluidly yet with control. It has such a beautiful form; yes, closely 'inspired' by a hundred year old brand, but no gold nib and materials not so fine. However, the acrylic is clear in its transparency, and looks really very good. Olive is the only model I've seen. The pens are new; apparently inspected before shipping, possibly inked, or dipped in ink, to check their function; so when washed before first use they will shed some ink. As mine did.Initially, with this pen, I spent some time searching for a fairly good replacement nib, as it did not write well; scratchy and faint, putting down not enough ink to write with. I liked the pen so much, the shape, material, and the color; its function should follow its form; deserving of a good nib. But I changed the ink. I was using Rohrer & Klingner Alt-Goldgrün, a nice ink whose flow, it seems, is too dry for the pen. So with Pilot's iroshizuku tsuki-yo ink, it transformed itself completely. It writes perfectly. It's quite incredible.
