depends on how thin. I didn't have any trouble and i'm about 8-9 inches around. the velcro attaches and detaches easily.

Do they come with the extra kick back straps for under the foot? Only two pictures show them or is that extra?

No, there are not any extra straps to attach to the bottom of your foot. It’s just the strap connected to the ankle wrap that velcros it around your ankle through the D loops.
