King C. Gillette Men's Perfect Style Beard Kit Gift Set with Trimmer and Beard and Face Wash

I've dabbled with beards and beard trimmers. A small Philips one was ok but got clogged and I bought another one and it followed to the bin soon after. Then I did a google or similar search for a beard trimmer, I think it was a Remington and it said it was great but it really did nothing more than produce nearly bald patches and the weird plastic guards were very counterintuitive as to what direction to work in.Nearly despairing (exaggeration) a month or so ago I google Top 10 beard trimmers and this came up a couple of times and being a cynic I thought, well, of course, they've just paid a load of dosh, or set up their own 'review' websites etc. But it popped up a few times so having become thoroughly p***ed off with the Remington (let me find the actual name of it: the Remington Barba beard trimmer at about £24) I spent almost an identical amount on the Gillete (have I spelled that right?) and it actually outperforms it by miles. So, forgetting the battery life and size etc, if it doesn't function as a beard trimmer it's a waste of space full stop.So, unequivocally I would say forget about the Rem....... and get the Gillette and you get some kind of beard wash or whatever which is far from offensive to boot.This is based on only a couple of trims so who really knows. I'm sure they've all got some sort of built in obsolescence, but life's too short to type this sort of stuff for much lon.............zzzzzz

This clipper set is ok. It is not overly obvious at first that it is actually Braun, a well known brand for this type of product but also a company i have had mixed quality experience with. They have neatly packaged this product with a bit of a traditional vintage feel using the King C Gillette name but also adding that hipster feel to appeal to the beard growers market.I have used various clippers before including Braun ones and comparatively this one is much the same as other Braun clippers I have tried and very average. The clippers come with 4 different size guide combs and a small shaver head. Everything functions as well as expected, the blades provide a quick and clean cut. The unit is rechargeable which is useful especially when trying to manoeuvre around the head or face, a full charge takes several hours so best to leave overnight although a full charge has a more than long enough run time. The clippers are really easy to clean and maintain, a small head cleaning brush us provided.This gift set includes a bottle of beard wash & conditioner of the same brand. This stuff is good for what it is but heavily scented, once finished, i am not sure if this is available to buy again separately. Decent gift set for just over £30 (at the time of review) which I feel is more appropriate. The clipper set is pretty average but overall is a good product. Would make a great gift for all beard growing lovers.

The product arrived faulty and there was no support to get it fixed. I would recommend buying another product and not this one.
