Q: $10 for one string? Seriously? You know that a whole set is $12, right?

Shipping alone is between $4 and $5 since all sellers must have tracking numbers. Amazon fees are ridiculous ( about 15%). By the time you factor in the box or envelope, gas to take it to the PO, paper and ink for the required packing slip a seller makes less than $2 on a single string. PLEASE support your local music store instead of trying to help put them out of business.

I think it should be a pack of 4. I bought and returned an order because only one string was delivered. Tried it again and the same thing happened. I still think it's a mistake. I love Amazon. In this case I believe there's a problem in the vague description and how the order is pulled

Yep. You get one string. I buy these elixirs to put on a dulcimer. They are extremely good and last a minimum of six months with nice tone. Much better than strings I get in a Dulcimers set of four. You get what you pay for.
