Surprising amount of content
When I bought this book, I expected it to have too little content to be worthwhile. I basically only bought it because I am playing a Consular character, and I wanted all the options for skill paths.Well, it turned out that the skill paths were the least of the content in this book! Yes, they are useful, but what I found more useful was the new equipment options and the great detail about what the consular path really means. Not being the biggest Star Wars buff out there, I didn't really know all the lore and details about the Jedi paths. This book goes into a lot of detail about what a Consular is, what different types of Consulars might focus on, how they might specifically be tempted by the Dark Side, and a lot of juicy content for the GM to help their Consular players along.I don't really know how much of the stuff in the book is common knowledge to true Star Wars fanatics, so if you know all there is to know and you just want the skill trees, maybe this book wouldn't seem like a good value. But for me, it certainly was. It was what I needed to go from just playing my character mechanically to really role playing.

Good for a Knowledge basis
This is an essential Roleplaying book if you are going to play or have a consular in your group. It really helps you flush out who your character can be. Giving 3 additional races is a huge plus, and some additional career Specializations.

Good pick up for your game
The new splat book for Consulars. The three races are: Arkanian, Pau'an and Cosian. I have to admit, I rather like the Pau'an and Cosian, especially Cosians. Got to love a race with a love of education.New specs are the Aribiter, the Ascetic and the Teacher. All 3 make sense to me for a Consular. Two new signature abilities: Much to Learn and Unmatched Negotiation.Imbue appears as a force ability. Imbue is used to strengthen an ally. Want to be a buffer? here you go.Also, we have the force power of Ebb/Flow. I can't recall another splat book with 2 force powers. You can self-buff or debuff. A definite MMO them going here.As always, there is new gear. Definite focus on non-lethal weaponry, which makes sense. Want a stun blaster on your lightsaber? Multiple crystals, including corrupted ones for reclaiming.7 kinds of droids. A number of airspeeders, landspeeders and walkers. There are a few starships as well as the Jedi training cruiser Crucible and the Consular (although I think this was in another book...).Useful rules for mentors. Check out the art on page 74.More information for scenario ideas, as well as diplomacy

Very poor condition
Book came in very poor condition. Nicks along the spine, and all corners were badly bent, and the front cover is warped.
