Best Purchase for kids shelf! Highly recommend!
Extremely happy and pleased with the purchase! My husband and I love this bookshelf! Love that the books are displayed with the full cover and not by the spine of the book- Made it Easy for my toddler to grab his books with this display. From my experience with this purchasePros:1. Arrived quickly well packaged and protected.2. None of the pieces arrived damaged, warped, no missing holes or rough pieces or unsanded pieces3. Beautifully sanded lacquered and edges rounded.4. Sturdy, durable, and beautiful natural color5. Easy to assemble * 2 adults preferably when assembling for easiness. Follow instructions * Use hex tool provided * Do not over tighten the hex screws or you can strip screw fitting & thats with any assembly not just for this product! Did not have any damage or splitting wood or splinters when assembled6. High quality especially when compared to other bookshelves that are very thin & flimsy from other sites/ companies7. Loved the size and storage spaceCons:1)Only complaint that others might dislike would be that personally is better having 2 adult assembly but based on prior reviews others have been able to assemble alone or with their children.2)Some mentioned for aesthetics only that the screws are visible. Bookshelf is very much child proof3)Others did not like the price value. Completely disagree- try buying a $50 - $100 dollar bookshelf from other sites and one will see how flimsy and cardboard those pieces are like. Worth the money!!

Super cute and great quality!
The media could not be loaded. This is the best bookshelf! It’s so cute, great size for kids, holds so many books, and easy to put together. Also very sturdy. I might get a second one because I love it so much!

Sturdy, attractive, and holds a LOT of books in a small footprint
After researching many different types of bookshelves for kids I settled on this one, and I'm very glad I did. Not to state the obvious, but this is a "display-type" bookcase in which the books face forward. My 18-month-old daughter has a far easier time selecting a book when she can see the front covers than when she can only see the spines -- and from conversations I've had with other parents, it sounds like a lot of kids are the same way. Most bookshelves of this type are either wooden, cardboard, or a wooden frame with fabric slings for shelves. If you want a sturdy bookshelf, wood is the way to go!Here's what I love about this bookshelf:1) Did I mention that it's 100% wood? From my experience, cardboard display shelves tend to be pretty flimsy, and the wooden ones with fabric slings tend to cause the books to lean way forward and sometimes even fall out.2) The shelves have a good depth to them (about 1 3/4"). This is especially important with board books, which tend to be pretty thick. As you can see from one of my photos, you can actually fit two average-thickness board books one behind the other. There are other wooden display shelves out there that are actually too thick for board books!3) Enormous capacity: Despite this unit not being very tall, it actually has FIVE shelves (most others have only three or four). This means it can hold a huge number of books in a relatively small footprint.4) The wood is a decent quality; no, it's not mahogany, but it's not pine or balsa either. It is strong enough to withstand a little abuse without being too heavy to move around if needed. It also has smooth edges and slightly rounded corners, making it toddler-safe.5) Assembly is easy and requires NO additional tools. You simply use the included Allen wrench to install the 18 or so identical screws. Everything fit together nicely and I had no problem lining up the screw holes. My daughter was so excited about this bookshelf that she actually squealed when she first saw it. And I'm pretty excited not to have her books all over the floor anymore! (I did not squeal, however.)My only SMALL complaint is a purely aesthetic one: there are screw heads visible on the fronts of all of the shelves. They are all recessed so there's no safety concern, but they are a bit of an eyesore in an otherwise attractive piece of furniture.Overall I couldn't be happier with this bookshelf and I would buy it again in a heartbeat. Could you spend less money and get a cardboard unit or a wooden one with fabric slings? Certainly, but with this shelf you definitely get what you pay for.

It's nice but is it worth it??
At first like to say overall, we've been very pleased with this bookshelf since we got it. So far it looks like it should hold up for a while. However, there are definitely some pros and cons to this bookshelf.Pro:-deep slots that can store lots of books-over all it seems quite sturdy-can be assembled by one determed mom-no major tools required just an Allen wrench-just the right size for a 2yr to reach all the book-light enough to be carried up the stairs by one parent at nightCon-One of the back panels never fully seated. It doesn't seem to affect the structural integrity and you can't see it but it still bugs me.-instructions are a bit confusing but eventually one can get it.-its hollow inside. I expected more internal structure. If I was going to build this myself I would have more cross support to keep the shelves from sagging ever.-its only comes in one color and raw wood isn't an option either.Would I but it again. Probably not but that's because I can make it. However, if I didn't have the tools and skills to do that I would buy one again. It is worth the money if you can't make one. The wood to make it would cost about the same right now which is why I bought one instead of making one from scratch.

Great bookshelf
Holds a ton of books and is really sturdy. It’s so much better than the sling back one we had before.
