Worked a treat - amazed how much gunk came out in the water. Had heard in some reviews their Vertuo hadn’t accepted these when starting the clean cycle, but worked absolutely fine for me.x4 in a pack which isn’t too bad for the price, should last about four months (one per month). Quality cleaning and easy enough to use.Only thing to note is these clean the insides of your machine out, but don’t de-limescale so you do still need to use a descaler (either from Nespresso or third party) in addition to this product. I’m surprised Nespresso don’t sell their own cleaning for the inner workings, but these do the trick nicely.

These cleaning pods are incredible! I’ve always run the cleaning cycle with just water a few times a month to try and keep my machine clean. I just heard about these pods and tried them thinking my machine wouldn’t be too dirty.The colour of the water after the first cleaning pod was so dark brown it could have passed as a coffee! The rinse cycle after was still pretty brown so I used a second pod. Still more colour in the water but the rinse cycle after was almost clear.I’ll be using these once a month to keep the machine clean. If you haven’t used one before, run 2 cleaning pods one after the other as there will be so much build up!One thing to note is these are cleaning pods not descaler so you will still need to descale your machine as needed. The instructions I received in the box have the cleaning instructions on one side and descaling instructions on the other which was confusing. I think this could be what caused people in other reviews to descale using the cleaning pod and potentially damage their machines.

The media could not be loaded. Does not work on Nespresso vertuo plus machine……Pop capsule in and light turns red as does not recognise the capsule

Not easy to use, and the instructions were not easy to follow - although this could have an element of poor design with the machine.It eventually worked and the machine was clean.

Since Nespresso closed their coffee boutique in Reading the quickest and easiest way to get my coffee is from Amazon. The price isn’t exorbitant, I get exactly what I order and it arrives as quickly as I ask. What more can I say.

We’ve had our Vertuo machine for around 15 months. We descale as required, but still we felt something was off with the taste of our coffee.It should have occurred to me much sooner, given I used to own a coffee shop and we used Cafiza every night to clean the group heads of coffee grounds to avoid the build-up of burnt grounds. But I’ve never been offered a product to do the same for my Vertuo, which in retrospect seems odd.Still, when my son asked me whether we had any descaler because the coffee was tasting off, I figured I could either order some more from the Nespresso site, or check whether a different descaler I had bought for another appliance would do the job. And that led me to these capsules.Because of how the machine works, these pods are the equivalent of using a blank in the group head and cleaning with Cafiza in a commercial espresso machine. They degum the insides of old coffee grounds and, when you run a clean water rinse, a satisfying amount of gunk comes out into the jug.Why is there nothing about this in the machine instructions or from Nespresso? A cynic would say that they want you to buy another machine and tie you in for another 12 month subscription. But these capsules will extend the life of the machine and we’re now using one every 2-3 weeks, depending on how many coffees we get through.
