A GREAT improvement over the stock light.
First off, let me say that I was really reluctant to buy this. I’d simply been running Cyclops LED bulbs in the stock bucket, and I’d had pretty decent results (so I thought). ANY LED lighting draws far less power for an equivalent amount of visible light, and at around $60 per unit, they were a cheaper option than either this unit or an HID conversion. But in struggling to fit the LED replacement bulb into the socket, I’d damaged the housing that holds the bulbs in place, making the seating of the bulb a bit tricky. When I finally got fed up with dealing with that, I bit the bullet and bought the Atoplite.WHAT A HUGE DIFFERENCE!There are immediate noticeable differences. First, the visibility of the Daytime Running Light is greatly increased. The body of the lamp looks much darker than the stock bucket, which makes the already bright LED arc stand out even more. Secondly, the field of view for the low beam is MUCH wider, and seems to throw noticeably farther down the road. Even with LED bulbs in the stock bucket, the field of view was never this good (since the stock bucket is made to reflect a standard halogen bulb). The high beam is similarly impressive, and puts light out well farther than the stock unit.Install was easy; I followed the install tutorial on this page, and, apart from keeping the lock washers positioned while feeding in the mounting bolts, everything was a cinch. My only concern is longevity of the unit. I’ll write an update after the season to speak to how well the light and individual LEDs are holding up.So far: I’m very impressed. I should have made the switch far sooner.**UPDATE**: I’ve been running the Atoplite for over a year now, and consider me convinced about the value of the unit. My biggest concern buying the light was in its longevity. Let me assure any potential buyers: this thing is TOUGH. About a month into owning it, I’d misjudged the depth of a puddle on some single-track in the woods (SERIOUSLY misjudged; what looked a wide but shallow rut in the trail ended up swamping me past my instrument cluster). The Atoplite unit was completely immersed, and even after I’d gotten my bike out, there was still moisture on the inside of the unit. I’ll spare you the details of what I tried to get all the fog out, but I put the light through hell, and it STILL functions like clockwork today. This has been a great upgrade.

a must Upgrade if you have a Bmw 700/800 GS 2018 and below
Beatiful upgrade. Now it feels like a proper modern motorcycle. Not only you get seen more by cars (for safety reasons) but they just look really really cool on your bike, i fully recommend them. The lights come with 2 spacer rings, be careful not to throw them away since they are a bit hidden in the package box and without them your lights will not stay in place.Would also appreciate if the package included a printed or digital manual or some stickers, but ehh, the important thing is that the lights are incredible. If you own a F700GS/800GS and want to get rid of those old school halogen lights, this thing is a MUST,cheers!

Installed on 2009 F650GS.
Looks great on my 2009 F650GS. Light is much brighter than the stock reflector with Sylvania SilverStar Ultra bulbs, has surprisingly good throw (flat top, very minor dip on the left, round on the bottom) that works quite well. Does a much better job than stock at illuminating sidewalks as well. One thing to note is that it is heavier than the stock assembly, though I've had no issues with it even with the stock rubber washers for holding it in position - though it does come with toothed washers that will dig into the plastic when tightened if the rubber washers don't work for you.

Totally worth it!
After a month it’s been awesome! It was easy to install and fit perfectly. I have the Touratech Desierto 3 faring on my 2013 F800GS and this lamp fit. When I adjusted the lamp height per the manual it was about 3 inches low and I couldn’t raise it without modifying the faring, however, I feel any higher it would be too much for oncoming traffic. I am glad I went with this rather than fog lights. I can’t recommend it enough.

Bright, very well made and easy bolt in for F800GS
BMW F800GS is prone to burning out the headlamp reflectors, as some H7 halogen replacement bulbs run quite a bit hotter than the OEM bulbs. Installation was literally plug and play - took about 20 minutes, most of which was spent fumbling with, and trying to find a dropped screw. This thing is BRIGHT!These LED lamps are available from many different suppliers online, but all come from the same factory in China. The cost can vary quite a bit, so do your homework. The one I bought here on Amazon was about 2X the cheapest I found, however given current (Spring 2020) supply chain problems, 2 day deliver and a likely better experience if I need to return it - I went with Amazon. I also found sellers willing to sell for for quite a bit more than what I paid here. Given an OEM replacement is north of $600 (and will still have the cooling issue, not be as bright, etc.) this is a pretty good value. Value is the only ding here, and that's just a slight one. 5/5 for quality and brightness.Construction: This unit is aluminum which replaces the plastic OEM unit. It appears very solid. I've not had any issues with the assembly vibrating out of position (use the lock washers that come with the assembly).

Value for money
The media could not be loaded. It’s just little bit heftier than the stock lights, feels more quality and more valuable. It’s changed my bike completely. Has made it look more modern and more expensive than it actually is. I love them; a whole world apart in terms of brightness compared to the old one even without using the high beam. Doesn’t get hot like the old one and super easy to install.
