An excellent book on ancient Greek Philosophy.
This is an amazingly excellent book on Greek Philosophy, very rich in information and stories, a good font to be read with ease and printed on good paper. I wish I had this book available when I was doing philosophy at school. I read it with pleasure and could read it again.

Three wise men indeed
Looking forward to reading this as these three are in my opinion the greatest of the philosophers when you consider what they taught are still practiced, understood and ring true today.

The Gang of Three
This book is a wonderful insight into 3 philosophers /thinkers, who individually & collectively have influenced our thinking & life from their perspective and it still resonates today. Nell Burton has done a sterling job in putting those many aspects of living a wonderful life, life death & wisdom into a coherent and thought provoking book. My wish is , it should be part of any school library, certainly a go to text, it will reveal itself after many reads , and rereads that it the beauty of the book.

This is very dry account of the great Greek philosophers
The book would work .better with more interesting anecdotes and stories of their lives, Times and interactions. Felt like set academic book for a university degree.

So much food for thought
I’m far from an expert on the Classics and philosophy but this was very easy to understand and incredibly interesting. He has given my so much food for thought I shall be dining on it for a very long time, I can’t recommend it enough.

Concentrate!!
This book was quite a challenge for me to read and focus and but I understood most of it.From what was written in this introduction to 3 of the most famous ’ thinkers’ of ancient times, most is still relevant in modern times.

Skepsis
A fine read that remains true to the spirit of the great Master Socrates and his followers (chronologically if not 100% logically), without being sycophantic towards them or condescending toward readers. Very informative and cheering.
