The only cream soup I trust
I have to say, I despise mushrooms. I can't stand the taste or texture or anything else about them. However, some recipes call for cream of mushroom soup and who am to mess with my mother's recipes? Campbells cream soups are the only cream soups I will buy, and it all started with cream of mushroom soup. For one, it doesn't last like dirt or mud to me, all the others do. I don't have to taste a mushroom to know there is mushrooms in a dish because I instantly taste dirt when I take a bite of the dish. If someone made a green bean casserole with a different brand, I'll know it first bite. But with Campell's the size is always right, the texture is good, it seems that the bits of mushrooms blend into the dish well. The cans have an easy open lid so that makes it easy to use. I like the sodium content as well as it being gluten free. I still only use it if I just have to, but I'm glad it's available to me and I do always keep a couple cans on hand in case I need them. I also keep cream of chicken, cream of celery, etc. It's the only brand I trust.

Tastes really good, great as a base for making gravies, (I use it full strength when making gravy) texture is creamy and smooth once it warms up on the stove or in a skillet. I don't recommend microwaving it. Still too much sodium in one can at 97%, and also includes GMO ingredients of corn, soy, and saturated fats from canola oil. Minimal sugar which I appreciate, and no added sugars according to the label. They also have an easy open pop-top lid!Ideas: Easy cooking ability and if you eat pork chops, first sear them on each side to brown them in a skillet and bake them with a can or two of this for extra gravy and people will eat it up and beg for your recipe! Side dishes: Mashed or Au gratin potatoes and add oven charred Brussels Sprouts drizzled with olive oil. A fresh mixed green salad with avocado slices, cherry tomatoes, slice or diced cucumbers, sprinkle with your favorite grated cheese and dinner is served. Serves 2 to 6 people using boneless center cut thick pork chops baked at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes.
