Q: Are these v&a mugs made in england/britain? what does it say on the bottom? many thanks

This is FAKE product. It looks very similar to the genuine V&A collection, but it doesn't have golden rim and printed flower inside the mug. The quality is also very poor.

Q: Where are these cups made & are they lightweight

These do not look fake. They likely have been updated as now they are microwave and dishwasher safe (hence no gold rim). Also it has a copyright symbol next to the V&A details on the base. Good quality.

Q: Are the mugs dishwasher proof? Wondered about the gold band round the top...

I bought the V&A mugs. In the picture the golden rims do not show up. They do not include in the description that they cannot be put into the dishwasher or in the microwave. As the postage is just half the amount of the cost of the mugs l kept them but l am disappointed. They should clearly describe the items
