I have searched high and low for an automatic pet feeder to meet my needs. I chose this one because of its versatility. First, it works for dog foods (kibbles, freeze-dried, air-dried, etc.), and I can mix all my dogs' favorites.Second, I like the idea of dual power because if I have to be gone for an extended period, I can know that the power outage will not stop my automatic feeder from working because of the backup power supply or batteries.Third, it is easy to assemble and set up. The programming of feeding time is easy to figure out, and I can set the feeding times easily.Fourth, I like how I controlled the portion, so I can gradually increase the amount if needed. This functionality prevents overfeeding my dogs. Also, sometimes they do not want to eat during scheduled feeding time, so there are only a few leftovers. And I can add another serving if required.Lastly, I love the idea that I can control it remotely. The Wi-Fi connection is easy and works with just one attempt. Connectivity is vital for me because I travel a lot. Despite being away from home, I can still use the feeder to dispense treats while interacting with them using a pet camera.Look no further and buy one. I have no regrets, and my dogs love it.

My 2 cat boys have been free feeders their whole lives, until I had to put one of them on a diet. They’re so used to eating from the same bowl, so just one of these works. It’s a little confusing with the measurements, I had to test it out a few times (it’s 1/4 cup each per serving by the way), but after that it was a cinch to use. It goes off every night at 8pm, and I set it to four servings. If they’re particularly hungry that day, somewhere in the middle of the day I can give them 1-2 extra servings, but 4 usually does the trick. I also like the safety strap at the top, one of my cats would have definitely broken it open several times if it wasn’t on there. I also feed my boys rachel ray nutrish indoor cat food, and one small bag can fit in the entire thing, which is satisfying. All and all, I love it! Have had it about a month now.

This feeder works great! I’ve had it for about a month, and my little floof loves it! She hears the beep and goes RUNNING if she’s not already by the feeder lol.So far, it’s always been on time (and a life saver for the one weekend a month we are out of town).And a nice feature is a bit of velcro that goes over the top and sticks to the sides of the feeder so your pet can’t get into the food. My cat hasn’t tried to open it up, so I’m not sure how well it holds up to little gremlins.BUT here’s where it lost a star: the portion sizes are literally non-existent. You can select the number of portions you want to give, but you want to know how much a portion is?Lmao good luck!Wonderful.So convenient that there are absolutely NO measurements.I scoured the instruction manual, the listing, everything, but no where is there even a HINT of how much 1 portion is.Lucky for you, I measured it myself and have discovered 1 portion is about 1/8 of a cup. You can only schedule up to 12 portions at a time, so if you want to feed more than 1 1/2 cups, you’ll need to set multiple feeding times (which isn’t an issue for my kitty, but if you have a large dog, this may not be your best option).

Alexa - Smart Life app functionality is awesome. Capacity and portion measurements are also excellent.We would have given this 5 stars except the battery life is said to be 24 hours (4 double A's). We purchased this as a temporary outdoor (rain protected) feeder for an under-the-house cat while we were away for a week so 24 hours battery life is too short.As for wifi setup, you should load the Smart Life app before doing anything else. Then, set your phones internet to a 2.4ghz network. Now plug in the feeder and run the Smart Life app. The app should automatically see the feeder...hit the add button and your done. Super easy.Only other request is that they add a clear window to the food holding tub so you know how much food is left inside.Happy so far.
