Who Shall Ascend the Mountain of the Lord?

Fall in love with Leviticus.
If you want to fall in love with Leviticus this is the book. Bit scholarly, full of notes (which is what I prefer) But as you stick to it it will unlock concepts in Leviticus never imagined before. This is also a great read on typology in the Bible. How the structure and theme of Eden corresponds to that of Temple/Tabernacle. and How Tabernacle itself is a miniature cosmos. The point of connections are illuminating. A wonderful investment of my time and money.

Amazing Read
This is an outstanding work that has contributed much to my understanding of the Scriptures. My only complaint is that it's taking me so long to read. Not because it's too wordy or boring; just the opposite! It seems I can't go more than two or three pages before I have to put it down to think about what he's saying. It is the most edifying book on scripture that I have ever read. I've recommended it to several friends and will continue to do so. Thank you Dr. Morales for your hard work and your contribution to Biblical Theology!

Must read!
An amazing perspective on the pentateuch, specifically the book of Leviticus. I would recommend this to any serious layman/student, pastor, or theologian.

I have always loved Leviticus, and this book has confirmed why I do. Morales performs a huge task in compacting his vision of Leviticus into just 300 pages. His thesis is that holiness is central to approaching God and that Israel needs to be in God's presence unless they have been made holy. This can only be achieved through sacrifice. Further, he shows how the theme is also scattered throughout the OT and finds its fulfilment in Jesus. Excellent book.

Top 5 book
This book was on some top Leviticus commentary list, so I purchased it hoping it would explain the priestly role in mediation. But this book was sooooo much better than what I was looking for. Morales unpacks how Leviticus and the Tabernacle tie into the biblical theme of God's grace and how He makes a way for sinful man to dwell with a holy God.This book looks more scholarly just flipping through the pages, but it's easy to read and Morales defines all the Hebrew words he uses. My only recommendation is to have a note card to write a few of the definitions down so you can reference them later in the book.
