Wow! Perfect fit for my 2018 540i BMW. I do mean PERFECT! It could not fit any better. The TPE material is good too although my first impression of it was negative, once I install this in my car, I reconsidered and am happy with it. For the money (or not) I don't see how you can get a better fit and made product. Highly recommend!!!

I'll begin by saying this: We BMW owners admittedly have a somewhat higher expectation relating to fit and finish than owners of some brands....The anti-slipping feature of this cargo liner does work, and it works quite well indeed. On my many trips back from various stores, taking routes that included both city and highway drives, nothing moved around back there at all. That's a huge improvement over setting bags or boxes on the carpet as I've done in the past. With this liner, everything arrived just as I'd placed it in the back. Very impressive. No more plastic bags or boxes sliding about at every start, stop, or corner. Nice!Once I unpackaged the liner upon arrival, it took a few days to finish outgassing. I placed it in the guest bathroom with the fan on to facilitate that process. Once the outgassing finished, I don't perceive any trace of bad smells inside the car at all. The liner was folded up inside the box, and had a number of bends and creases. I followed the product instructions that were included in the box, and tried focusing hot air from my wife's hair dyer set to the hottest setting onto each crease that needed flattening. Well, it just didn't work at all. Next I tried our garment steamer and carefully warmed the plastic with that - hmmm, that didn't work either. I decided to give in a bit and place it in the trunk to see what would happen. After about a week the wrinkles (Creases )softened, and the liner is now laying flat as one might expect.The plastic from which this liner is made has a somewhat pliable fee and I have no concerns whatsoever that this would ever scratch my BMW interior or any object I might haul on it. The lip around the edge is around 2 inches high, so I also no longer have concerns about minor spills in the back - this would easily hold a modest amount of liquid and protect my car's interior. Love that! The non-slip surface actually feels kinda' soft to the touch and cushioned. It's also reasonably light-weight, unlike some of the heavy rubber or really thick plastic ones. This makes it easy for my wife to manage when she needs to take it our or put it back in the car.This isn't really a negative point per se, but as I mentioned at the onset, we BMW owners to have an expectation.... As the seller points out, this item is "compatible" with the BMW 5 Series. They don't ever say that it is "custom fit" or "made for", or any such claims. Despite that, I did expect a bit better fit. This fits very snuggly side-to-side, but has around 4 or more inches of slack front-to-back when placed in the back of my X5. I guess that I DID in fact expect a bit better fit than that. This is the only reason why I dropped my evaluation down from a 5-star to 4.Over all is a good product, it feels very durable, it protects the back and does the job - and it does it with reasonably good looks. If it fit just a bit better and looked a bit more in line with a product intended to really FIT the BMW X5, it would surely merit a 5-star rating. Nonetheless, I will probably be using this well into the future and you might too, so I do recommend it overall.
