Excellent quality for a budget surf rod!!
I was a little worried about a 2 piece surf rod at this price range but I have been pleasantly surprised. Held up to casting a 3oz weight and more recently I have been pairing it with the Lucky craft 110 to get good casting distances. Light enough to walk with for hours and constant casting that lure fishing requiresI have one other model 2 piece rod from berry pro at first and for a budget rod have been thoroughly impressed so far!

Casts well
Seems to be a decent rod. It could have a little bit lighter tip but casts well and had good strength for fighting fish through the surf

*UPDATED Review* Not sure if I got the right top/tip....
**Update -- Berrypro reached out and was willing to work with me on this purchase. The fact that they wanted to make me, as a customer happy, speaks volume to their customer service. I will be a returning customer. Thank you. This was my 2nd Berrypro rod purchase. My first one was the 9ft Monster Surf. This 2nd one is the Blaze. Both times the packaging wasn't the greatest. Came in a thin sleeve in a huge box that was loosely placed in. You definitely need to completely inspect your rod for defects. The rod looks great. However, I got the Medium power and I would expect the rod tip to be more sensitive but it's definitely feel like a Heavy. Was rather disappointed that the taper wasn't like the 9'. I'm still going to use it for pier fishing and see how it holds up to leopard sharks and stingrays.

I recommend berry pro now
I had doubts because the rod was so inexpensive and the company was an unknown to me but I wanted an 11' rod for casting distance and I always liked the looks of berry pro rods and they're really inexpensive. So I bought one and thought that if it breaks it breaks, didn't cost much anyway. Paired with a Shimano bait runner d 6000 size with 50lb jbraid x8 grand (grey). I fished for two nights within the same week for big fish. Caught fresh bait for the occasion the same nights fishing off of some rocks from 10pm-2am in the dark. Kept 4 stripers and 5 bluefish total. I posted a picture of the first night. Barely managed to stay out of the water and was exhausted by the end of each night (Landed more fish including sharks those nights).Good rod, good brand. Battle tested.
