How does the leak proof lid work

Standard bodum cafetere with push down press top. It dosnt leak or drip when pouring. Cleaning is easy

Are these still made in Switzerland? Or China?

Look up the Bodum company on the internet. It states the company originated in Denmark and has since moved, in 1978, to Switzerland.
