hi what is the circumference of the bodum beaker for a 12cup french press coffee maker 1.5 litre code 1512-10

Bodum 1.5 litre (51 fl.oz) Spare Glass Beaker (Code No: 1508-10): H = 19cm & D = 12cm (outside diameter). That's all I can tell you.

Would the bodum 12 cup replacement glass fit in a similar grundwerg 12 cup press|? both presses look similar

I do not know about the grundwerg 12 cup press but I have two different makes and both take the bodum 12 cup replacement with no problem. sorry I can not be of much more help

Dimensions are confusing! A jug is measured by height and circumference, or diameter - not 3 dimensions as if it were a box! No idea how big this is.

I bought the 8 cup beaker and still had the one I was replacing so could check out the measurements. The height measurement is taken from inside the beaker and the other two identical measurements are the diameter. I found the measurements accurate for my cafetierre holder which is not a Bodium one. Hope this helps.

Also how do you take the handle/bottom black plastic that is connected?

On my cafetiere the frame and handle are all connected, cradling and containing the glass. The glass part just slides in the frame.
