Well I'm impressed
I've had these for 6 months now, they are still going strong and haven't broken.I like the sound quality, I guess the bass could be better but for the price they are good. The buds aren't as good as they could be, and if you listen for music several hours at a time I'd recommend looking elsewhere, but if you're like me and listen <2hr at a time you shouldn't experience any problems. The only super frustrating thing is the buttons, they're designed for Apple products and will not work properly in any other device (Nexus 4/Zune HD here) which is annoying. But overall, for the price they're well worth a buy.

Three Stars
Disappointed that these dont fully work with Android but a good head phone and really cut the outside sound.

Just received this headphones, sound quality is good however these are so cheaply made, after 3 days the plastic cover of the R ear is cracked and the whole thing is coming apart, awful! Returning them straight away.

Wire on the earphones are very sensitive as I only had them for a week and the sound is not fuzzy due to the connection in the wire.

Good Quality 'Phones
These in ear 'phones are a good choice for the price. They produce a good full sound with a nice deep bass, without it being too booming. As seems to be standard with in-ears of any quality these days they come with a choice of buds and it's essential to choose the right ones in order to achieve a good bass experience. The tangle free cable is just that; I've had no problems with knots or tangle at all, despite having stuffed them in my bag quite a lot. In cable microphone/controller works very well and appears sturdily constructed and functions as it should: pausing, skipping and interrupting when required.I used them on a recent 9 hour flight and although they didn't completely block out the sounds of engines, screaming children and general horror, they did isolate me enough to allow a reasonably pleasant sonic experience. All in all a good set of 'phones for the price

Right earphone died in just over a month
39 days after i bought them, the right earphone died (Amazon has a 30 day return policy). Bearing in mind i only use these on my 20 minute commute to work I would have expected much more from them and SOL Republic for they're durability.

Preis/Leistung unschlagbar!

Great Bass response for the price.
I have had these for 6 months (bought on March 22nd) and have been using them nearly everyday since.I bought these based on an earbud comparison and these were singled out for their increased bass. Do not get these if you want a nice neutral sound like the artist and sound engineer intended. these add bass colouration to everything.--------------------------------------I personally love these earbuds - the bass response is, as intended; awesome for this price point. Mids and highs are clear and when using these on my PC with the Realtek ALC887 driver and Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 Android Tablet I don't notice any frequency's bleeding into one another. Even Classical music sounds good on these.===I know that Bass is subjective and that one person cannot easily relate their listening preferences to another. Until I bought these earbuds I was used to cheap PC headsets and generic no-name earbuds that probably cost 5 cents to make in china and were still turning a profit being sold for under 3 dollars in Canada. These earbuds sound so much better than my previous cheap headset of choice; the Logitech H390 ClearChat USB Headset (went through 3 of those because the inline control was garbage, and I was more gentle on those than I am on these Jax earbuds). I originally planned on buying these for on-the-go music listening only and then buying an audiophile grade headset for PC listening, but I liked these so much that I skipped the headset and bought an adapter so I could use the built in microphone on PC for voice calling (for what it's worth; Skype callers say my voice comes in clear so the built-in Mic on the Jax isn't complete trash like the other reviewers are saying).I gifted a pair of Panasonic RP-HJE120-K to a family member for Spotify listening and another family member who is also used to junk earbuds tested them out and had a smile on their face because "There's so much bass and the sound is so clear". I offered up my Jax to be tested out and when he heard the same song on the Jax he had a huge grin and described the sound as "It's like having a subwoofer in your head".Take these anecdotes as you will. but I would wager that anyone used to mediocre sound will be blown away by the performance these pack.===Regarding the negative reviews on the earbuds durability. Either those reviewers are much more abusive to their equipment or Sol Republic had a batch that slipped through quality control. I've dropped these from varying heights onto ceramic tile flooring multiple times and they have held together, have yanked on the cable in multiple areas up and down it's length and both sides still work fine. Around 2 weeks ago though, within a week of each other. The plastic screening/mesh inside the tips fell out. I'm not sure if this is from repeated impacts or if my... damp ears, compromised the adhesive (if there was any). Now, as much as I like these earbuds - There are some cons:1. The rubber covering the cable is very grippy, these are not going to be good for running/jogging or working out where your motions will cause the cable to rub up and down your chest. The buds will get yanked out of your ears.2. The cable is superb at transmitting vibrations up into the buds, hit the cable and get a nice loud hollow thunk sound. Rub it along your clothing and hear every fiber as the cable passes over it. For the matter, if there is a strong breeze or you have a fan pointing at the cable, you can hear the vibration that the wind produces on the cable.3. The inline controls do not work on Android. I knew this before purchase so it's not a personal con. Only the middle control (Play/Pause) works on Android, Volume up and down do not.--------------------------------------Bottom line: These are great for bass-heads on a budget that will be motionless or walking. If you're looking for exercise earbuds, look elsewhere for something that has a fabric or slick plastic sheathing on the cable.UPDATE: One year later and these buds are still going strong and I would still recommend them.UPDATE #2: April fools! 2 years later and the L-plug has a loose connection inside. Where the audio will cut out, unless the plug is positioned just right. Just over 2 years of use and abuse, before they developed a fault.

Cables don't tangle so much; MICROPHONE; great sound.
Overall, including sound quality, a 5 star product BUT sound quality is closer to a 4 or a 4.5. These get my 5 start thumbs up because they are generally $10 cheaper than Sound Magic E10's (which don't come with a microphone), and about $30-$50 cheaper than better known (more widely advertised and reviewed) products like Klipsch and V-Moda. Those are all 5 or 5+ Stars but cost a lot more (except the Sound Magic E10's).Sound Magic E10, and V-Moda, Klipsch S4, and Apple's own EarPods (the new ones, when held in by your finger tips for a good, solid canal seal only) are what I would call a "5" in terms of sound quality for non-audiophile use. There are plenty of audiophile level earphones to choose from these days, but almost none under $100. I recommend Googling for audio reviews in Absolute Sound and other trusted audiophile magazines/websites/blogs if that is the way you want to go.But if you want a rocking good musical experience with "as recorded" bass levels with iTunes AAC+ (iTunes Match, also iTunes current download quality) on albums "remastered for iTunes"), these deliver at a great ($25-$30) price point. The only others to consider at this price point are Sound Magic E10's, which I like a little better BUT the cables on these Jax are flat and don't tangle for everyday use, while the E10 cables are the usually round, get twisted affairs. If you don't know where to start and are ready to move up beyond the Skull Candy etc. level, I strongly recommend you visit an Apple Store, or even read the online Apple customer reviews of the stuff they stock. Apple is pretty selective about what they stock, and if you start there then read Amazon reviews, you will get a good sense of what works well. Then circle back to these Jax reviews and see if you can't get just a little better (or equal) sound quality for less money here. Two final caveats: Apple Stores generally carry bass-enhanced (Dr. Dre "Beats") and utterly neutral (Bower & Wilkins). You should probably audition both extremes with your own music player as part of your shopping. Some Skull Candy have bass-enhancement at a much lower price; most mid-priced earphones like these are aiming at "neutrality" but if they can't get that due to engineering to cost limitations, they try to nail the midrange.

Not really worthy to buy this.
I have another earphone already with me which costs 1200/- rupees and this costs me more and having same quality as my old earphones. Really not worthy to buy this. Donn't buy if you are from India. Go for some other earphones which costs below 1500.Thank You.
