Q: Are the birds true to size?

It was a while ago, I have returned them. I was disappointing. They were not as nice as in picture and I think smaller. I ended up going to the local Michaels, they have much nicer birds of that kind and you can buy individually and price was nice. This product was very cheap.

Q: Are these made from real birds? Where do the feathers come from?

Birds are foam. Feathers are artifical.

Q: Can these birds withstand the weather if places outdoors in a birdcage?

I'm not sure. Used them on a wreath on our doors which is covered. I will tell you, they are much smaller than what I had anticipated or wanted. Would have to be 6" bird cages to see them.
