GP Batteries Ultra Alkaline 9V batteries | Superb operating time

I have mains powered smoke detectors in the house and after 5 years the backup battery failed, making one of the smoke detectors making the usual beep.Having 6 of these devices in the house I was looking for a multipack as I expect other batteries to follow suit.The specs (and actual tests) of these GP batteries are as good as Duracell or Energizer ones so I gave it a try.Their shelf life is long too (exp. 2027).So far so good, the smoke alarm is still happy after a few months.

What can I say, good value for money and work as expected. Looks good quality as well.

I have pretty much converted over to this brand for batteries. Not the best in terms of longevity, but the cost v lifespan is better than some of the top brands. I use these in smoke alarms and so far they have lasted the year (changed anually regardless) and with no leaks or swelling of the case.Only complaint is the excessive plastic packaging - thick plastic box in a card sleeve and a further wrap of thick plastic. Unnecessary and largely unrecyclable. A card box would have been sufficient.

I need to know if these are chargeable batteries cause that's what I'm wanting it dosen't say on them that they areI have chargers for charging 9v batteries

Great value and quality. Ideal for mains powered smoke alarms that have battery backup. Batteries packaged in a handy plastic box.

I bought a product in the USA and the shop keeper told me it would struggle with European batteries and to try an American make. She was not wrong either these blow European batteries out of the water (not that batteries should be in water 🤣)

Used for smoke alarm. Not able to give result only just received. However did a trial test and alarm was very loud.Definitely wake you up.

Not sure why devices still use batteries these days, but these 9 volters seem to be popular for smoke alarms. Bought these to replace some in my old flashing smoke alarms and they seem to be working well. Seemed to be good value, but only time will tell if they continue working long term.
