Simple to program and great operating range
We have a heat lamp / fan unit installed in our bathroom that was originally connected to mains plugs in the attic, each on a control socket to allow the lamps / fan to be individually controlled. The remote control had always been temperamental even with a fresh battery, so we finally decided to replace the remote control sockets and went with this set. These remote control sockets require programming, which is very straight forward - Plug in the first remote control socket and press the desired "On" button on the remote, then repeat for the second and third. Despite what the manual says, the remote control sockets don't lose their memory when unplugged, during power outages, etc. They can be reprogrammed by holding the button on the socket until the LED lights, then push the new desired "On" button to change to. The remote has 4 On/ Off controls, so a fourth socket can be added and it's also possible to programme multiple sockets to a single ON / Off number, which may be useful for turning on/off multiple lamps, Christmas light sets, etc. together. To test the range, I placed a socket in one corner of the house connected to a lamp and walked away one room at a time to see how far away it could control the lamp. To my surprise, it had no problem operating at the opposite end of our 4 bedroom bungalow! Even our centrally positioned Wi-Fi router requires extension nodes to reach the end bedrooms. For comparison, our previous remote control socket struggled to operate from directly below through the ceiling, which this new kit has no problem. The only minor issue we noticed is the remote control sockets are too wide to fit side by side with most power strips. To use all 3 on a single power strip would require a 5 or 6 outlet power strip, each plugged in alternating sockets.

Great invention
Bought these because I actually saw them elsewhere and of course, I had to check whether faithful old Amazon sold it and (of course) they did and at a cheaper price. It's a great invention. I bought a couple of lamps that don't have the usual convenient switches that control whether it's on or off so spotted these and thought perfect to control via these sockets. Let me tell you, they worked perfectly even from behind a cupboard or through obstructions such as doors! It's simple to setup.... you just need to plug one of these devices in a socket, ensure you've inserted the small batteries that is complimentary in the remote control, wait for the device to flash its red lighting, press the remote control for about 4 seconds or until the lights flash quickly then your unit is programmed for any item you plug into the socket. I love it so far but you just need to be careful that if you've programmed a few of these, ensure you don't accidentally enable another as it's super sensitive and you may unwittingly activate an electrical item in another room!

The sockets are great but the remote is quite easy to break, but overall a good product.

So easy to setup and works flawlessly
I was desperately trying to find a product that could turn off my speakers and other electronics from the comfort of my desk. I regularly turn my speakers on and off when switching from my mac to my PC (as it makes a loud popping sound) or for making phone calls (as they give off interference). This was always a pain as they have built in amplifiers in each one and thus both need turning off individually from a hard-to-reach switch on the back.I was originally trying to find a wired switch that could sit on my desk and when flicked, it would turn off the socket power. I then stumbled across this wireless solution, and in a pack of three! Sounded too good to be true.Very simple to set up, just plug it in and then hold down one of the four programmable buttons on the remote. No delay when the button is pushed, just instant on and off exactly what I wanted. I can now turn off all my other electronics in my room too, all from the convenience of my desk! It does take a strange little A23 battery for the remote but I doubt it needs changing often and they are cheap anyway.Great product!

Work perfect..
I originally bought two pack and after a few months testing I bought the triple pack..we have just had a baby and you know what it's like with a new born..you need two pair of hands..I use some in living room for corner lamps and in baby's room...you can simple keep the remote near and turn on and off as you need...the range is excellent. .I can turn upstairs on from my front room so no feeling around in the dark..easy set up ..plug in to socket. .plug the item you want to use in to it..press the on off button..it flashes ..just press the number whilst it is flashing ..done...I now have 5 and would be with out them now...no bending down to find the switch...great for mothers and older people...good deterrent as if you hear a noise you can swith you lamps on in all the rooms...great simple must have...
