Q: How long is this light good for before needing to be replaced? i know some uva/uvb lights only are effective for a certain number of hours.

Most need to be changed every 6 mos. Arcadia brand bulbs recommend replacing every 12 months. Check their website.

Q: what is the nm wavelength range?

Don’t buy the bulb from Amazon, no one packages it right and it will just arrive broken

Q: Will it fit a 14” hood??

Yes. All the hoods for these bulbs are about 2 inches bigger..

Q: how many times it must be change? soes it last more then 6 months?

From all that I have read, UVB output is not adequate after 6 months. I change my Zoomed bulbs every 6 months. I believe the Arcadia brand bulbs last longer (1 year). Check out their website.
