Great value for 12 darling plants
Adding to this original review… I ordered another box of the 12 pack because they are such nice little plants, I have to share them now with my friends and family! This 12 pack of air plants is the best value I have found so far! They arrived well packaged and in great condition. They are also a nice variety, different sizes and styles. Some are octopus like, with long fronds and curly tips, some are smaller with fuzzy fronds, look like Maas. They are the easiest plants you will ever own. As soon as I open the box, I soaked them for 20 minutes in my kitchen sink with cool water. Then I spread them out upside down on a towel to dry. Now they are displayed in many different areas of my house where there is good sunlight. These plants have peaked my interest in creating many ways to display them. No need for soil and messy dirt, there are a ton of different ideas out there to make your space a little greener. These air plants are a great way to brighten someone you love's house as well. You can give them to your friends and family with a beautifully created blown glass terrarium that hangs in their window. You can find those here on Amazon too. Or, just put them inside of a vase, on top of a cute figurine, in some wrapped wire hanging from your curtain rod, or create your own beautiful terrarium out of string, wire, beads, crystals. after having these little guys for over a week, I soaked them again for the second time with a tiny touch of fertilizer. They loved it. They seemed to grow that same day, but I think it was just that little bit of food they needed to perk up even more! I don't spritz them because my house isn't dry. I just soak them once a week. I have them all over my house now, near windows. I even gave one of them to my daughter for her dorm room that sits upon a little twisted wire pushed down inside of a wooden block. It is small, looks like a little palm tree in her windowsill! If you are considering purchasing this box of 12, you might want to get two boxes. It never hurts to have some to give to friends! Because you will be hooked on them yourself, you need extra!

No variety
I mean, I guess they’re air plants, but in the image it looked like a different variety. The ones I got in the package are all the same. I was hoping for some different ones, as the images would suggest. A little bit of false advertising, but they’re still alive and healthy.

Excellent!
They were delivered earlier than expected. The plants are excellent and very healthy looking. I would recommend for anyone wanting air plants.

"It's ALIVE", Dr. Frankenstein! UPDATED
These arrived quite quickly, in perfect condition in spite of the fact that we had the coldest day of winter (temp 3 deg, wind chill -6) while they were in transit, and the annoying post office didn't deliver until well after dark. I had no idea they were sitting out on my porch overnight! And I would never have held the supplier responsible for the post office's inefficiency or the weather, since we've been having temps every day in the 50's to 70's. This arctic blast was a surprise.I held my breath while I opened the package this morning, as you can imagine. The plants were tenderly wrapped in tissue to prevent breakage and THEY WERE GREEN! Not dead looking at all. Soaked them as instructed and they turned an even brighter green. In the photo, they are spread out for drying. Some varieties do have the pinkish tinge to them and others are green all over at this point. Only two of them had a bottom leaf come loose, but that is due to being separated from the mother plant, not the packaging or handling. All other leaves are green and slightly flexible, with no brown tips.I'm hopeful that I won't kill them and that they truly did survive the weather without any damage. Time will tell, but for now I'm very happy with them. The only thing I wish is that they were labeled by variety, but that's not a deal breaker or worth knocking off a star. I can get a pretty good idea of the variety by searching google for images and waiting for them to develop more color. If and when I get a bloom or pups, I will be over the moon! The supplier also emailed me a detailed e-booklet that goes into more detail on care and display, so that was a bonus that I appreciated. If I do botch this attempt, I would still reorder from this company again.UPDATE; March 4, 2015Well, I managed to kill one of the plants and one more doesn't look very happy. The rest are doing OK. BUT...one of the taller ones has two blooms coming on! I am so surprised and pleased. I ended up mounting them on a piece of driftwood with waterproof glue. Fill the sink, let the water stand to dissapate any chlorine, then dunk the whole piece, wood and all, for about 20 minutes about once a week. Let drain and then put near a LED table lamp that's on all day. It's not the ideal situation, but they are surviving (all but one).
