It can depend on the wood. If you wet the wood, you can often get an idea of the depth of colour that oiling will give. Pure Tung Oil itself naturally has a pale golden hue, which tones in very well with something like oak for instance. On very pale wood you might notice a slight shading. A small trial area to make sure you get the results you want is a good idea.

Q: Can this product be used to seal concrete?

Concrete sealer would be the preference.

excellen t on new teak...if prepared first . have no experience on old wood but would suggest is more beneficial than teak oil if the wood is prepared thoroughly first.

Q: I have used Granglaze satin on my oak doors and floors for some years. Will I be able to use Tung Oil on them instead when I refresh them?

We had a new OAK staircase made and we used the tung oil and the result and finish is excellent - this was recommended to us by our carpenter - he has over 30 yrs experience.
