It shouldn't be, because I found this product mentioned on Peta's curly hair product list. But there's a small chance they changed the formula since the article.

Q: Is this any good as a curl reviver in between washes and after finger combing? Does it dry soft or crunchy?

I only used it on wash day and it left my hair stringy, oily and crunchy. That was my experience on a 3a/b curls. This brand never really worked for me. Flora and curl mousse is much better
