Essential Power Ammonia Liquid 500 ml

Ammonia is a great product for cleaning. It's a pity that it smells so strongly.I used ammonia for whitening clothes, cleaning the bathroom furniture, and for sanitising the floors. It works really well but you have to dilute it properly and you have to ventilate the room.But this time, I purchased ammonia for another purpose: unclogging my printer's print head.Really, this product does that very well. I have a Canon MX870, and sometimes printouts get streaky because the print head has such tiny holes that it clogs up with ink if you don't print often. I hate streaky printouts, especially on photos, so a solution would be to invest in another printer, but I had this one only for a year and it's a perfect product, so should I really have to do that? No way.I read on the internet that mixing 50% water and 50% ammonia on a shallow plate, placing a folded paper towel in the plate, and setting the print head on top of this solution and leaving for a few hours would dissolve the gunk from the print head and it would get back to normal... Did it work? Yes. I simply used normal tap water, mixed this solution and left the print head for 2 hours there. It dissolved all the ink that was blocking it. I flushed it using warm tap water, then I put a towel on the vacuum cleaner end and sucked the water out of the print head using the lowest power setting in the vacuum cleaner. I put it back in the printer, put the cartridges in, and ran a check pattern test. It printed without any streaks!!!So I saved money and also the environment by not having to replace my whole printer :)If you're looking for ammonia for this purpose, be assured that I tested it and it works. And if you're just looking for this product for cleaning purposes, it will also work well. I'm surprised that there weren't other reviews about it here... It's really good and cheap.Recommended!

Wow! This ammonia stuff is fantastic. I learnt about using this stuff to clean the griddle covers that sit over the gas rings on YouTube. Mine had a build-up of grease and was sticky to the touch even after hard scrubbing with soap and water. It started to get more and more difficult to keep them like new. I took the chance and bought this ammonia stuff and boy,..does it work,..not arf!I used a large cat littler like tray to place the metal cooker griddle into, poured in some ammonia diluted with water and placed a cover over the tray. I let it soak overnight outside in the garage. Next morning, the grease was still on the griddle but had bubbled up. A quick rinse under the tap and the grease literally just started to fall off. They're now absolutely shiny clean and look like new. No sticky reside left from left-over grease.No longer do I need to panic about how to get these things cleaned again in the future. Ammonia is one really powerful substance that requires no hard work at all. Forget about all those dodgy commercial glossy products, get a bottle of ammonia. Always read the label though to see if it's suitable for your application.

Perfect for window and mirror cleaning (always use ventilated this is potent stuff) and perfect for killing off antAnd insect nests in one go (for wasps get aProfessional) but ants it’s a single use solutions to problem just pour down entry and walkAway (1 bottle aUse though)

THIS is what you want!Forget those “ one wipe cleans the toughest grease “ nonsense adverts. We all know they don’t work.This stuff does the job. And then some!My gas hob, try as I might with the aforementioned products, could not be cleaned. Cooked on grease for 8 years….I’d had enough.I saw a YouTube video of someone using paper towels soaked in this product, and although I was sceptical, I bought some and tried the same method…left overnight, the burners and base came up like NEW. The cooked on, never removed by any other means grease just lifted away.It smells like an uncleaned urinal though so ventilation is very important, as well as rubber gloves.Don’t waste time and money on the TV crud, get this instead…it works!

DO NOT SNIFF at ammonia it is dangerous.Due to not being able to buy this locally I paid to have it delivered which is expensive for ammonia but it is a great fresh cleaner when used sparingly.

I bought this to try and clean a very dirty oven and it worked brilliantly - most of the dirt and grease just wiped off. You put a tray of boiling water and a, separate, small bowl of the ammonia in a cold oven and leave it overnight. The next day the ammonia fumes have loosened most of the grease and burned on gunk and it just wipes away with a non stick sponge. I still had to scrape some of the burned on gunk with a scraper, but the ammonia made everything so much easier. I'm a convert and can't recommend it highly enough.

I did not know whether to buy it because of some comments that say it is more water than ammonia but no, the truth is that I got a good and effective product. it is pure ammonia and it smells quite strong so be careful with children

Have to use more than usual of this brand but it does a great job of cleaning.
