BOSSDS-1W Waza Craft Distortion Pedal

Wow I’m absolutely blown away by how good this pedal sounds. Damn.

Waza Craft Boss DS-1 came out sounding awesome. Would definitely put it up against any of these other distortion pedals. Wish price was a little bit lower but this thing is still built like a brick.

A modernized version of a legendary guitar pedal. Check a drawer, check your garage. Doesn't everyone have on of these by now? This version has a setting that provides more volume than the original while still keeping the OG circuit alive. Two modes; Standard & Custom.

It's a BOSS, need I say more? I have owned a DS-1 in the past, sold it. Decided to give the DS-1W a try and glad I did. Love it. The versatility is there if you want it and not there if you don't. If you're looking for heavy metal, this probably won't cut it for you. Probably should try the MT-2 or MT-2W for that. That'll give you that "crunch" you want.

This is a great pedal all around. However, I'm not sure it's worth the price point difference between this and the original. There are differences in tone between both settings, but I found myself not using the custom option very often. I have not tried the DS2 but feel that may be a better value. I would not purchase again and should have stuck with the original.

Boss makes the best effects pedals for sure. I have been using Boss pedals for years now and I've never had any issues with any of them. They sound great and are super durable. Don't second guess this purchase just get it!

So, if you're a frustrated lead player who feels like their notes have no staying power, buy this pedal. Please note, it works best with an amp that's already crunchy, but man, it sings.
