Great price for good Kingston memory and works great in a Lenovo TS140 with the Xeon E3-1225 v3 with BIOS B3A.
I wanted to upgrade a Lenovo ThinkServer TS140 that I bought recently and so decided to give this a go so bought two of the 16GB kits for 32GB in total - these aren't the cheapest kits out there but Kingston have always made good quality computer memory so are a safe bet (I also use Crucial Tactical in another TS140 ok). Ideally I would have bought unbuffered ECC but I've got a house and wedding on the way so a 50% saving is a bonus right now as this is as cheap as it has ever been. The memory was delivered next day in standard blister packs which computer memory comes in - there's also a Hyper-X sticker included if you like that sort of thing. The TS140 had an issue after POST (it would hang with a flashing cursor) with this memory fitted when running firmware 99A, however I upgraded to B3A and now it works perfectly well and I've had Windows Server 2012 R2 and VMware vSphere ESXi 6.0 running perfectly well with all 32GB seen correctly. The info from Memtest86 is "PC3-12800 DDR3 800MHz / 10-10-10-30 / Kingston KHX1600C10D3/8G" - this shows the memory timings and the 800MHz is doubled to get the 1600MHz figure this is advertised as.Always check your motherboard guide when installing RAM to ensure you're populating the correct slots first (yes there is a correct optimum order), and always ensure you install pairs into matching channels for the best performance. If you've bought multiple pairs of these and you're filling all the slots on the motherboard then no need to worry as they'll all be the same. The modules have heat sinks installed which wrap around the top and also have the branding on the top and you can pick these up in multiple colours - there is no difference in performance between colours, they're just marketed for people with cases with viewing panels so they can pick a colour which suits the build. The TS140 has the first two slots very close to each other (and the CPU heatsink) but these fit fine, if not a slightly tight squeeze so if they work ok in this they should fit pretty much anything.I've run these modules through Memtest86 with no errors to report in either single CPU mode or all CPUs in parallel mode - screenshots are attached to show the info. It's always worth checking your build out with something like Memtest86 as it proves whether the modules are faulty and is a good indicator of whether a system should be stable.

10 year old PC so pleased to get same brand of memory as originally fitted
Memory expansion for PC so wanted same brand etc. as currently fitted. Larger capacity than current pair of DIMMs. Worked OK once I found the larger capacity had to be in the first slots (at least on my motherboard) - without fitting this way round the boot failed.

gaming / file / dimm slot ram review u need advice ? i'm givin it ya its easy no ads here . just plain advice .
pretty decent ram at a good price this .in my repairs or builds i do for friends and relatives .i see price is the issue . now this ram does the job then some .so if your a gamer no worries it will do just fine as your pc aint top of the line if you are buying this ram anywayso to the results .. open performance good applications good .rating 4 out of 5 or 8 out of ten for this type of ram only specifies certain types of motherboard and their capabilities anyway so dont worry .gaming 1600 is the sweet spot thats a fact so get used to it i ve done the days and days of research to prove it .this ram transfers files slightly quicker over the 1600 mhz so that is a bonus but cas latency is cancelled out at some point .but the differences are not worth bothering about so either 1600 1866mhz for your budget gaming rig . or if your transfering files ,lots of files go up to 2400 if your motherboard supports it so check before you buy . what ?check your motherboard manual and the DIMM SLOTS mhz your board supports ok ...other than that make sure it is compatible by the pin count being 240 gold pins ( yes i counted them all)do not have a manual google it mate .do not be lazy, but be sure matesopen the side panel and look for details written on the board then google it .but it should be in the manual provided with your computer motherboard.it's in the flat box mate .anyway do the work enjoy the ram and live stress free people .hope ive helped you guys somewhat .i've seen kids build pc's ! so get on it mates .its going cheap its all i use in the last 20 AMD pc builds what more do you need ?oh yes it does the other boards too you just need to get up and check it out .pin numbers 240 (that's the gold looking tabs on the edge )mhz 1866 but dont worry if your boards lower it will sale down to the lowest installed ram you have like say 1333mhz .so the pc runs smoothly . simple it does it itself with any modern motherboard .not sure how to bump it up again ? watch a video on bios .compatability ? check your motherboard maker brand i.e. asus ,gigabyte ,asrock etc etc . then the model .go on the internet and see if it is compatible and if it is buy it mates its going cheap right now so buy a few if you want , no one cares but you anyway .so g,day and g, luck ya drongos . just kidding. ye gaming mongrels .

Easier to install than I expected
Installed this in a Lenovo 520e desktop to increase from 4gb to 8gb. I'd never done anything like this before not even opened up a computer but was very easy and took about 5 mins. Spec of the computer says it runs at 1333mhz and this one is faster but from reading around that's not a problem and it runs to the speed of the computer...Booted up and seemed to run fine and faster..Would recommend
