Ravensburger Puzzle Glue Conserver - Suitable For Up To 1000 Piece Jigsaws

Works pretty well!! I brought the glue to be able to get it sturdy enough to put in a frame and has done the trick!And there is still a lot of glue left in the bottle.See the finished (one) piece for proof

Not very straightforward working out how to activate the glue from the can. Instructions are very basic. Easy to use but you need to apply a LOT to make the pieces stick well. Not easy really. But it does work eventually

Worked on my puzzle. After loosing one puzzle piece and finally finding it didn’t want to take it apart. Used this and framed it.

The glue is rather watery but comes out of the sponge applicator easily enough. The directions state it should be applied to the right side of the jigsaw and it's advisable to put a plastic or greaseproof backing behind the jigsaw first as some glue inevitably seeps through. It any of the backing touches the glue on the front of the picture it will stick fast. The glue takes an hour or so to dry but even after 3 applications over a day, some pieces were still not securely stuck (and this after I added a 4th coat over the back as well for good measure). I ended up putting sticky backed plastic film on the back of the jigsaw to secure it, as I wanted to hang the picture on a wall without putting it in a frame. There was plenty of glue in the bottle for 4 applications of a 1,000 piece jigsaw, with some to spare. I made sure to apply it evenly and it dried totally clear and was invisible.

Excellent glue for jigsaws and worked a treat.

I’ve used it on 2000 pieces puzzle (98cmx75cm) and 1000 pieces. It lasted for 3 layers on the big one and two on the smaller one. It worked brilliantly. The puzzles are up and hanging in frames. Very easy application. Made the puzzle colours more vivid and gave a bit of shine to the finish.After reading some other reviews I would have some advice on the application process. Press the bottle nozzle firmly to the puzzle and squeeze the bottle so a lot of glue pours out. Spread gently the glue. Make sure there’s a big puddle of it before spreading it. Don’t press hard with the sponge as it might cause the paint to rub off the puzzle pieces. Also if you have low quality puzzle, it might affect the final result.

Have tried this on one jigsaw so far but not successful. Think it depends on what the puzzle is made of
