Perruzo Cruiser Delux 3 Bike Boot Fitting Car Rack in Black

This had a couple of mixed reviews, but I took a punt on it. I have put this on a Vauxhall Zafira. After some initial head scratching over what initially seemed an overwhelming array of ropes, the first time I put it on my car it took me 10 minutes, but of course after the first time it is all set up specifically to your car. Now I can get it on in 2 or 3 minutes and off in 60 seconds. Very easy to use, nice and tight and secure when on and comfortably holds 3 bikes nice and safe.I would highly recommend

A solid rack that certainly does the job. Four stars because it works and is well-built. It loses a star because of the terrible instructions (including an unmentioned plastic piece that must be knocked out - a screwdriver works for this) and because the straps could do with being another six inches longer for proper flexibility.I fitted this rack onto a Citroen C4 Picasso (2010 model) and have had no problems carrying three bikes. For those puzzling over how to do it (as it doesn't appear to be an officially supported vehicle), I threaded the top straps under the spoiler and hooked them onto the metal. Don't put the straps over the spoiler - you'll just end up damaging the car and the rack will sit too high up, loading the glass. The middle straps hook onto the glass (no problem as long as no metal is touching) and the lower straps actually went through the tie-down hooks on the floor of the boot. These hold the straps solidly and work well once the boot is closed. I also used a couple of gardening knee pads to distribute the load more evenly - certainly better than using a towel but make sure the car (and pads) are clean first. Once you've done it the first time, it only takes 5 mins to get the whole thing on and off.

This is a good solid bike rack. The instructions could be a lot better but managed to assemble it with no problems - only tools needed were 10mm spanners to secure the bike holders to the frame, not sure why other reviewers had to use a drill.I was able to fit it easily and quickly to my Nissan Micra and used the supplied adaptors on the middle straps due to the windscreen extending to the edge of the lid. I think I could've managed to avoid using them as there is metal behind the edge of the glass but I felt safer using them.I mounted two cycles (a medium MTB and large hybrid) easily and securely. Although I fitted them quite high on the car, I found I had to remove the front wheel off one bike (large frame, 28" wheel) to avoid obscuring a rear light cluster.On the first trip, we travelled about 80 miles to Kielder, about 50-50 motorways and twisty bumpy country roads. I checked the straps several times during the journey and only had to make an adjustment on the safety strap once (due to the load settling). If anyone has problems with straps loosening, please ensure that the strap enters the buckle from the rear as it will self tighten (this should be added to the instructions!).

Beware - while this is an excellent and sturdy rack that definitely sits well on my saloon Passat, I have decided to replace it as it does not lift the bikes clear of my rear lights and number plate when the rack is correctly positioned (i.e. top rail at no more than 15 degrees from horizontal, and putting the bikes well clear of the car's body). As it is illegal in the UK to drive with occluded lights and number plate, using this rack would require a light bar on my car.Note that the rack in the stock image is incorrectly fitted (at least according to the instructions) as it is clearly at an angle greater than the recommended 0 to 15 degrees from horizontal. The effect of this is that the rack in the image is positioned higher than it should be, and makes it look like the bikes would be higher than they actually should be on the Audi in the image.This rack is suitable for my wife's old Corsa and would also suit any vehicle where the lights and number plate are situated much lower than the bikes themselves (i.e most estates and vans) but you should be aware that for hatchbacks, estates or vans with higher light placement, or especially saloons, it is likely that the loaded bikes will sit in front of your lights.I should add that when I purchased this, I was specifically searching for "high bike rack" on Amazon, and this was the second rack in the search. I blame myself for not looking thoroughly enough before buying, but feel slightly misled by this.

Having tried several major High Street Retailers, where I was greeted with blank looks and a "Computer says nooooo..." attitude, I returned to Amazon, where I should have started. I read around the best Bike Carrier's for my car type...VW Golf, and settled on this one. It arrived 1 day after orderreing, tho I selected the "Standard" Option. It was fool proof to assemble and I fixed it to the back of my car in 15-20 mins, on my own. The instructions were easy to follow, but I could have managed without. The product is well made and felt sturdy from the outset. I made a 450mile round trip in rain and highwinds, last weekend, with my bike attached to the back of my car. It didnt move, or feel like it would move, once. I was thouroughly impressed by this product and it is 15-20% cheaper here than on the highstreet. Buy this with confidence.

Hola,Siento no poder darte una respuesta segura. Yo lo monto en un VW polo y va bien, me parece un sistema bastante universal. En las instrucciones (no las tengo a mano) aparecían dibujos de coches con diferentes tipos de maletero e inclinaciones traseras, por lo que es probable que puedas montarlo. Yo he llevado tres bicicletas en él perfectamente. Por el precio creo que merece la pena (añadele la señalicazión de carga y unas cinchas también para asegurar la carga). Una vez que lo pones por primera vez, es bastante simple de poner y quitar.Tienes que tener en cuenta la distancia de las barras, para encajar los cuadros de las bicis (con alguna va bastante ajustado). Si installa facilmente sulla dacia ad ua prima installazione da l'impressione di non essere molto stabile ma poi con un corretto serraggio risulta essere stabile.

Article conforme à la description, à prix raisonnable en rapport à celui du commerce.Comme dit dans les autres commentaires le porte velo est un peu fastidieux à mettre en place. La notice, bien qu'en français et avec schéma demande de la concentration :-) mais c'est réalisable en prenant son temps.Acheté pour transporter 2 vélos sur un Kia Sportage de 2013 et cela est adapté.Par contre il vaut mieux être 2 pour la mise en place sur le hayon. A noter que les crochets de la partie supérieure sont trop épais pour passer entre le hayon et le toit. La solution est de les mettre dans l'angle supérieur en les faisant glisser.Pour le reste pas de souci.Installation des vélos à faire à 2 de façon à les caler au mieux et il faudra réfléchir un peu si comme nous, vous avez une suspension de cadre.Point noir au niveau de l'attache de sangle en métal et qui est susceptible de rayer la tête de fourche du vélo qui est placé au plus près de la voiture... d'où une étoile de moins ! Prévoir une petite mousse de protection.L'arrière des vélos dépasse un peu du gabarit en effet, mais il n'y a pas beaucoup d'autres solutions de positionnement dans notre cas...Question solidité, le porte velo semble tenir le coup. Facile installazione e uso. E' veramente universale perché si riesce ad adattare benissimo a vari modelli di auto. Lo spazio a disposizione per posizionare le bici e' un po limitato quindi se si vogliono posizionare tre biciclette ci si riesca ma bisogna armarsi di pazienza. Le bici non coprono la targa. Attenzione alla bici per ragazzi: sotto la 24 potrebbero essere troppo piccole per essere trasportate. Non do il massimo solo perché il sistema di aggancio laterale per le auto che hanno un lunotto posteriore tutto in vetro (esempio renault scenic III serie) e' un po fastidioso.
