Solgar Gentle Iron (Iron Bisglycinate) 20 mg Vegetable Capsules - Pack of 180 - Reduces Constipating Effects - Gentle on the Stomach - Vegan and Gluten Free

I purchased this product last week. I waited until the weekend to take it as I am always Leery of taking iron supplements because of the dreadful side effects I have had in the past. I took it after I had dinner on Saturday evening with my fingers crossed! I’m pleased to say I have had NO SIDE EFFECTS whatsoever! Definitely is true to its word about being gentle iron!

Power of energy.

I started taking these because I wasn’t sure I was getting enough iron from my diet and wanted to give my body a bit of extra support. I’ve always been a bit cautious with iron supplements because they can sometimes cause side effects, but these really have been gentle—just like the name says.No upset stomach, no nausea, no constipation. I’ve had no issues at all. I make sure to leave a few hours between these and my other supplements, especially anything with calcium or magnesium, just to help with proper absorption. That routine has worked really well for me.I take them with a bit of vitamin C to help them absorb and so far, I’m really happy with them. They’re easy to take and feel like a nice, simple way to support my energy and health.

I can’t take normal iron tablets as they badly affect my digestion. These are definitely more gentle. I can’t comment on whether it has improved my ferritin levels as use has been sporadic. Overall solgar seem to be a reliable brand though and I trust the overall quality and ingredients.

I had low ferritin, felt very tired, and my hair was falling out a lot. I’ve been taking Solgar Gentle Iron for about a week, and I already see a difference — my hair doesn’t fall out as much, and I feel better overall. No side effects at all. Really happy with this supplement!

My ferritin was at an alright level of 54.3µg/L, but I decided to increase it for further health benefits.I have been taking a mix of "iron and other supplements" for a year, but only during the day after meals. After a recent blood test I saw that my iron level has not moved at all in a year! I cannot highlight this enough - the only way to get iron absorbed is you need to take it in the morning on empty stomach with Vitamin C (at least 500?). I also have very sensitive stomach so had to try these ones.That's what I did for a week - I did take more than the recommended dose, but that was my choice. Just so it happened that I had another scheduled blood test at the end of that week and my iron level was now 56.3µg/L. Basically ferritin increased by 2µg/L in one week.Pretty confident this supplement did this and I will continue now with this approach until I get it to at least 100µg/L.Also, no stomach ache or other side effects!I will update my review when I do another blood test.

After being diagnosed with low ferritin (iron) from a blood test, I was reluctant to take the prescribed iron from the pharmacy due to reports of gastrointestinal side effects. So I decided to try Solgar instead as I have used their supplements for many years and always found them to be good quality and to contain high amounts of the active ingredient. After a few months of taking these Gentle Iron tablets daily, my follow-up blood test showed that my iron results returned to a normal level. I take them continuously as if I stop, my iron levels fall again (proven by blood tests) and I start feeling fatigued again, so these are clearly working to maintain normal levels for me. Taking these supplements has boosted my energy and I no longer feel easily tired and fatigued from normal activity. I've had no side effects from them and I'll happily continue taking them. At one tablet per day, a bottle lasts me for three months so they're very affordable too.
