Very disappointing product
I really would give this product negative stars if possible! I really loved this product when I first received it, and did a batch of tomatoes last year, BUT, that was last year's canning season, and now we're heading into this year's. I was so excited to use it for juicing last year's berry batches I'd kept in the freezer, and today, after cooking up the berries, I hooked it up to my mighty KitchenAid stand mixer. As I turned the mixer on, the piece that is supposed to fit in the side slot of the KitchenAid pulled out, and would not stay in place, even after tightly securing the screw piece. I attempted a second time, and this time when the shaft came apart from the mixer, the entire juicer turned, breaking the piece that is supposed to fit in the slot on the KitchenAid. I hadn't used it since last year, so I'd carefully followed the directions (even watched a video on YouTube on assembling it) prior to using it. I am so disgusted with the now useless hunk of junk. I see from another review, the exact same piece broke, and they hadn't been successful in getting a replacement, which gives me no hope of my getting a replacement. I would NOT RECOMMEND this product. Just spend a little more, and get a much better quality product.

use speed 2 not 4
The first time I used it I set my Kitchen aid on speed 4. It worked fine I had shut it to clear the waste from the front and put the seeds and skins through again. The auger wouldn't turn it made a grinding and clicking sound. I shut it down and took it apart to clean it. The locking ring would not come off and the auger was seized it could not turn.I sent an email to Cirillo and true to their website statement they contacted me within 24 hours.I requested a replacement, and it was delivered in 2 days. Amazing customer service.I made a few suggestions for them to make their produce better, I hope they use them because this is a good product that can be made better. If you are considering buying this product it is worth the money, just don't go over speed 2 on your Kitchenaid.

Great, but a bit of a pain to clean
Not hard to assemble and use, but my grumble is it says after 20 or so tomatoes to clean the screen-- but it doesn't give you any info on how to do it. Do you clean in place? Do you have to disassemble? I ended up disassembling and cleaning. And it would be really great if they included a brush to clean with. I had to dig out a bottle brush to get inside the tube. Overall, it does a good job. We realized you can turn the "waste" into a reasonable salsa base and add stuff to it. So not all is wasted. Or, the chickens liked it! If you want thicker sauce, run it through a yogurt strainer to get out extra juice. I canned the juice after.

Fast Tomato Processing
So far I have used the device only for tomatoes. I returned the first one because the auger did not rotate true and caused undue wear between its metal shaft and the metal bushing. The replacement that I received did again not rotate true. However, to try and ward off metal wear and distortion I applied a thin coat of food grade lubricant to the shaft where it mates with the bushing. After the first use there were no signs of wear. I'm happy to repeat this fix at each use, because so far this device has offered the fastest and easiest method I have found of processing large quantities of tomatoes. In the attached image I drew a green line on the shaft to represent the depth of the wear point with the bushing to which I added the lube. Note that I have not ruled out the possibility that the root cause of the issue could be with my mixer. Cleaning the screen is cumbersome, but I found that "stabbing" at the holes with a scrub brush forces the stuck tomato fibers back inside the tube where they can be washed away with the sink sprayer.

Does a great job
I purchased this because it was bigger than the one that I bought for my KitchenAid. Does a great job even with the leftovers when you run them through lots more juice. Some problems I ran into was that I needed to cut my tomatoes smaller than the funneled neck, don’t force the tomatoes down only slightly applied pressure works the best because you will feel the suction , and always grease the shaft and the cap because there is not enough clearance, when the metal gets warm, causing it to stick and jam machine, causing major damage to it if you’re not standing right next to it. Mine jammed, causing the auger and nut to get stuck and that was because the metal does not have enough clearance and I didn’t know. But after fixing the problem I greased it and finished with my tomatoes. They turned out beautiful. I would definitely recommend it, but I am going to write the company and tell them that they need to put a sticker on the machine that says grease the auger shaft before every use, hope you enjoyed it

Broke my Kitchen Aid attachment hub door and attachment knob. design flaw
I have used this for the first time to help can tomato sauce/gravy, It would not stay locked into the hub, it kept pulling away and we had to stop constantly. We only has the speed set to 2 and we had to tighten the hub knob with a tool as we thought by hand wasn't working but that wasn't it. We had a small pliable spatula and continued pulling the pulp and seeds away. I think it's a good idea, but has some design flaws maybe make the hole a little bigger on the straining cylinder so everything flows better, and the notch that goes into the hub made of stainless steel instead of plastic, as you can see in my pictures that is wearing away. My Kitchen Aid model is the professional one but your device was making it get very hot.Are you going to fix my Kitchen Aid?
