iLiving18 Inch Fan moves tons of Air & Brand Is Reliable
Great fans. I have had the 14" model for several years. I am moving it to the rear ramp area where my and dogs beds areI got the 18" model to put in the original location of the old fan at the front of my dual-ramp enclosed snowmobile trailer turned RV/Tiny-Home.I mounted it so it can blow air into and through the trailer from the front. I mounted it so it can rotate 180° to suck air out through the front of the trailer too as that is where my wood burning stove is or if the wind direction is different. This 18" iLiving fan moves at least over double the air of the my old 14" model. The iLiving fans are great because they are essentially waterproof. The only complaint I have is that the screws that hold the clamshell grill covers together are extremely tiny and insufficient, so I replaced them with some bigger and more stout ones (see photos).

Installation tips to keep you COOL!
When I put in my new grill gazebo I did not realize that its aluminum roof would gather heat during the day, making the inside pretty warm. I started researching outdoor fans and the iLiving was the best I found, either at the big box improvement stores, or online. This fan is terrific. I got the 14" and all three speeds are useful. The strongest is such a strong blast I normally use the middle setting. It comes with a long pull chain that is easily snipped to the size that works best for you. Let me answer some questions you may have:How long is the power cord?Six feet so you may need an extension like I did. For the best match, be sure you get a three plug round black cable in typical 14 gauge. I really like the inexpensive one from Woods also available on Amazon. It's a perfect match. Be sure you get an extension cord for outdoor use. What hardware is included? / How to attach the fan? There are two holes on the steel bracket that comes attached to the back of the fan. It's easy to install. I bought some nuts and bolts on my own that best fit the metal frame I was attaching it to. One hole is larger than the other so two different sizes are needed. Two healthy sized wood screws are included but I needed a nut and bolt for my use attaching to metal.Does it swivel?Yes, you decide if you prefer side to side or front to back. Because I needed to orient the included bracket horizontally, it swivels front to back for my use, or perpendicular to the bracket. (See my picture with fan attached to gazebo side.) if you need it to swivel in all directions, depending on your available space for hardware, you will need to pick up an additional bracket such as an L bracket. Is it noisy?Just the sound of the wind it makes! Really well built, solid and no rattles. Can it work on a timer?Absolutely! That's how I use mine, plugged into a pool/spa type of timer that lets you choice hours you wish it to be running. It also works fine with newer smart timers that work of phone APPs, etc.

Well Built Outdoor Fan
Really nice quality fan, and especially the motor housing. I've had this fan for 2.5 years, rain, freezing cold, and it has no issues at all. It's also relatively quiet on the low setting. Highly recommend. Also, the customer service is great. Small issue with a part and they helped me.

Perfect for our Black Lagoon patio!
These fans are about 2-3x heavier than a typical box fan, so the fan motor and power supply appears to be heavy-duty. They move plenty of air in our 14'×14' open patio area. Our patio is surrounded on two side by a 5000 gallon Black Lagoon themed Koi pond (think castle moat). So these fans are perfect for keeping the mosquitos and bugs away, and of course for cooling everyone down when the summer heat comes burning down.Ours are mounted to the deck joists above our patio, one in each corner. They will not be protected from our Kansas weather of 100° hot summers, 0° winters, snow or rain. So I do hope they can endure the exposure. I think I saw some fan weather-covers here on Amazon, if so we will probably get them just to extend the fan life. As for noise, no louder than a typical 18" fan. I installed both by myself, but I highly recommend having a second pair of hands as these are heavy like I said before. As for adjustability they can be tilted or swiveled depending upon how you install yours. Ours are placed ideally so we can easily adjust accordingly for our guest's comfort.I also plan on plugging them into a RF remote controlled all-weather plug, this is so we don't have to pull on the suspended chain to power them on/off. As most people know, fans like ceiling fans, that have a chain will eventually snap and break. So that's just me thinking ahead. For the price I'd say they are worth it as long as we can get a few years use out of them.If they fail or we develop issues I will update my review accordingly.
