Absolutely work perfectly while sitting on my back pation. I live in Houston, need I say more about mosquitoes...that were swarming the patio when I moved in. I constantly had to spray down with some sort of repellent which just wasn't economical, healthy, nor cute lol. I was hesitant but jumped on a buy. Glad I had, I press the power button about 5-10 minutes prior to go chill and smoke and the bugs are gone or leaving. There's no smell to me and covers my whole 6X20ish patio. I actually can keep my back door open and nothing comes in. It's long lasting as far as the liquid as well as the battery. The first one I forgot to turn off a few times and the refill still lasted fairly long. One time I left it one overnight and I suppose it turned off (not sure b/c I think the battery was one dot) and it still had lots of liquid inside. Now after work I turn it on around 5ish, might have a cig or not but go back inside and cook and other after work stuff. Go in and out the back and it's lite, no bugs, or anything...turn it off before bed sometimes 10 or 11 and seems to last weeks. Great product honestly! This was the first refill pack I bought after the initial use. They have me hooked as a customer as long as it keeps the bugs away and convenient as it is. I would suggest a manual timer for off and on as well as a liquid level indicator so not wondering if it's empty or not. But something tells me you'll know, when the bugs come a buzzing.

As someone who loves the outdoors and isn't a fan of deet Thermacell is a lifesaver! It's silent, odorless, and has the ability to create a mosquito-free protected area. It's so easy to use, it's portable, safe for pets, and the replacements come in convenient multipacks. The cartridges also last a long time (120 hours for the three pack). I use Thermacell on my back deck, while camping, and even bring it on my bike to set up when I make stops. It makes my summer so much more pleasant.

I've been using the Thermacell E,Series E65 for a while now, and it's honestly one of the best purchases I've made for spending time outside. I used to get eaten alive by mosquitoes every time I sat on my deck, grilled, or went camping. Now I just turn this on, wait about 15 minutes, and the difference is amazing. I still might see an occasional mosquito flying around, but they don't bother me or try to bite. It really does create a nice little protection zone. Setup couldn't be much easier. I charged it with the included USB cable, popped in the repellent cartridge, and it was ready to go. The battery lasts a long time, and I haven't had any issues taking it from the backyard to the campsite or even to a picnic. It's lightweight and easy to toss into a backpack without taking up much room. One of my favorite things is not having to spray bug repellent all over myself. No greasy skin, no overpowering smell, and no worrying about getting bug spray on my clothes. It's just a much better experiance overall, especially when you're outside for hours. I also bought the refill pack with the 3 cartridges, and they last a long time. I like not having to constantly order replacements, and it's nice knowing I have extras ready to go. The only downside is the price. The refills work fantastic, but they're definitely expensive for what they are. I wish Thermacell would lower the cost a bit because you'll eventually need to replace them if you use the device often. Still, I'd rather pay for refills than deal with mosquito bites every weekend. Overall, I'm really happy with this purchase. It's easy to use, portable, and it actually does what it promises. Even with the pricey refills, I'd buy it agian because it makes being outdoors so much more enjoyable.

These are a little pricey, but they really work. I use mine on the deck while watching TV in the evenings, and I don’t have to worry about mosquitoes anymore. They provide excellent protection and have made spending time outside so much more enjoyable.

I own several thermacell devices and the new E-Zone devices are the most effective and economical. They burn much cleaner with less odor and last much longer. Targeting mosquitos and other small insects, these repellents will keep the bugs away for hours. The new machines also only take one cartridge rather than a pad and cartridge. This pack is an excellent value and will last up to 120 hours. Great value and aist for summer backyard outings and adventures!

We have been using the Thermacell Mosquito Repellent since last summer with amazing results. Previously, the backyard was almost uninhabitable due to the mosquito swarms that were particularly attracted to my red-headed wife, who would develop large welts from the bites. Now we can sit on the deck and enjoy the pool without swatting and pain. The 120-hour refills are a significant cost savings over the individual 40-hour packs and are a snap to change out. With no objectionable scent, the Thermacell fades into the background while it does its job. We’re very pleased with this combination and look forward to another enjoyable summer outdoors.

This is for outdoor use, You cannot risk inhaling it indoors, especially if you have pets. It dramatically reduces but does not eliminate all mosquitoes, so it depends on how much time you spend sitting on your patio. I find it very expensive due to the limited use in my very hot climate. I must say it is effective, not stinky, and the batteries are easy to recharge. This is a small but mighty tool, better than applying repellent. I set one outside my front door and turn it on for the two hours morning and evening when I will be going in and out. No West Nile Virus so far, but I already need more refills, estimate 6 per month minimum.

This misquotes repplent did absolutely nothing—mosquitoes were still everywhere. No noticeable effect at all. I regret buying it and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
