Was looking for a long handled wooden spoon to cook with over open fires, with cast iron; this is great!

Works as intended.

At 18" long, the big wooden spoon is perfect for working in deep pans. I made a pot of chili one night in a 8-quart pot and this made it easy to stir. I've also used it in a wok, and it worked well. The end is curved to move more mass, and the finish is nice, but there was a slight smell from the spoon when it arrived that required a few washings to clear up.Overall, this is a good budget long spoon.

I was tired of burn marks from bubbling jam so this sucker gets your hand up out of the pot enough to prevent most stray bubbles

This was perfect for the large pots of stew and chili we make in the fall.
