I recommend any grandparent with a maple tree to purchase this. It is so simple, yet what a learning experience and a sweet reward. The time spent doing this with the kids is a precious bonus! We got 3 gallons of sap(collected in recycled milk jugs) which we boiled down to yield 6 oz of the best maple syrup we've ever had.

This was a great buy! I have only been tapping for a few years and would tie cleaned out milk jugs to taps. This works fine but I have to stain out bugs and if the jugs are not tied on well the wind can blow them off to the side and the sap just runs down the tree. With the tap and tube the sap goes into the jugs with no room for any bugs to get in! The book was very informative too. I was told by a tapper that I could tap some trees that were in fact a little to small to be tapping. So I'm down to 7 trees instead of 10 but that's ok if in years to come I'll be able to tap them. The extra jugs that I made ready makes it easy to switch them out with the full jugs and carry the sap back to be boiled.

The quality is excellent and great information in the book. Purchased food safe buckets with lids at local bakery for $1.00.

Very happy with the product. All arrived on time and quantity and quality just as expected. Also enclosed booklet was simply but clear and easy to follow.

These worked out well. It was our first time tapping trees and making syrup and the kit definitely came in handy. The included book was a great reference since we were new to the task. Having the tubing and taps was really easy to work with and we got about 20 gallons of sap collected! We are looking forward to using it again next year.

I was a first time maple syrup maker. This kit made it simple to follow I ended up with 3 containers of syrup. If I can do it anyone can. This kit was perfect for a novice like me.

I bought this version of the kit because it also included a sap filter. But that was NOT in the package. Buyer beware.The rest of the items seem as advertised and I look forward to trying them out.

I am trying maple syrup making for the first time and wanted an easy start up set. This gives you all the basic information you need to get started. I am not able to spend a lot to set up this new trial and this set worked perfect. If all goes well I will be buying a bigger setup next year. Got here quicker than expected and was just as described.
