A Treasure for English Teachers
This book is very helpful for teachers. It provides lots of great resources you can use to plan your unit with. Additionally, it gives you a variety of peer-reviewed articles that you can use to extend your own analysis of the play. I am very grateful for this product and plan to buy more Norton Critical Editions for my other units.

Leaves all other Macbeths in the dust
Both Patrick Stewart and Kate Fleetwood were outstanding. They put so much feeling into the words that one forgot they were using Shakespeare's prose. I have seen other productions with well known actors and this outshone them all.The set and the witches were also terrifyingly good. I highly recommend this production.

the Arden editions are long in gestation and pretty damned wonderful when they do come out
This edition of Macbeth has essays galore, as all the Norton critical texts, as well as the play but I find the essays date from rather too long ago.Though very interesting in their own right, they tend not to reflect current scholarly interests. That said, I have nothing but praise for the bookbut its rivals, the Arden edition, must be Number One; the Arden editions are long in gestation and pretty damned wonderful when they do come out.
