Q: Will this leave marks on my hardwood floor? I've seen comments on other products that they left patterns on wood floors that could not be removed.

Yes, it does leave marks on hardwood floors. I could see patterns just after two days of use, so I'll be replacing this pad with something else.

Q: Has anyone had issues with it sticking to hardwood floors after a period of time? I am intending to use under our cal king bed rug, can't move often.

I put it under my hardwood floor bedroom scatter rug and it was terrific, rug never moved and felt very safe. Edges of the white pad stuck out on all sides so I cut it to fit the rug. It never stuck again, rug back to being dangerous moving all over. Why?? Do you have to leave the ugly white edges around rug to be safe?

Q: Why does it say item is for use on hard floor surfaces yet "not for use on vinyl, natural stone, concrete, etc" which are defined as hard fl surfaces?

Hardwood floors are slippery and to make sure that when you walk on the area rug the pad gripper will cause the rug to move as you walk, causing slippage or maybe even falling down. However, concrete, natural stone, vinyl and etc. are not normally walked on inside of a house/townhouse.

Q: Are they safe to use on a Luxury Vinyl Tile floor?

According to SHAW flooring the only non-slip rug pad material recommended for their vinyl plank flooring is PVC (polyvinyl chloride). Pads with latex or natural rubber (like rubber backed felt) can cause damage or discoloration. Since the manufacturer states the pad is made of PVC it should be safe.
