I recently responded as a civilian to a Car accident and unfortunately used my trauma kit. It’s insane how much saving body heat changes comfortably for victims in shock more than we know. This blanket was field tested for warmth on a cold day and to help some effects that trauma could bring and worked beautifully. I’ll definitely be restocking on these. It’s also very tall so you don’t need to worry about covering all of them, it’s got them covered!

As a test, I wrapped myself up in one of these. It' was big enough to get coverage over most of my 6' frame and after a while, I did feel warmer. You wouldn't want to use these as your sole protection against wind and snow, but they do keep some heat in.Note that they are EXTREMELY thin. They are not durable. They are so thin that, despite the metalized finish, you can easily see through them! So while they are billed as reusable, I wouldn't put much stock in that. Also, they used some amazing technology to fold the sheet up and fit it into the tiny bag they each come in. Unless perhaps you're an origami master with very patient fingers, I doubt you'll be able to refold them so well they ever fit back in that bag perfectly. Assuming they survive being used at all. Rips should be expected in any rough terrain or hard handling.Would they keep you alive if your car breaks down in a Montana blizzard - perhaps To get a higher rating, they probably should be more sturdy - I know the point is to be lightweight, but this is probably taking that too far - they should come with some sort of adhesive so you can close it around you and keep it closed, and they should come in a bigger bag that you can actually store them in again.

What I was looking for the carry in my go bag

Seem like quality gear, but I bought them because they said the country of origin was Israel. They are from China. Kinda hard to get those two countries confused.
