Q: does the cassette take 10 speed ? can i fit the brake sensor to a normal 10 speed ergo shifter?

Gears yes you use own,I didn't fit brakes mine are integrated with gears,motor cuts out when you stop pedalling anyway

Q: is there after sales available in uk in case repair required?

No none whatsoever. Had issues from start from fitting to the speed switch not working their reply buy a new one waste of 400qid

Q: 2 questions:- does it have to be disc brakes or will V brakes work and how many gears are on cassette wheel version ? thanks

You can fit the back wheel with either disk brakes or v-brakes. You transfer your existing cassette onto the new wheel. Just make sure you get the right cassette fitting i.e cassette or freewheel. The brake levers are for any cabled operated brakes, not hydraulic. I hope this helps.
