Love it!
I’ve had this device for 10 months or so now. No issues! It’s kept me alive without failure lol. I occasionally use this for solo climbing with stopper knots (probably don’t do that lol).It is kinda hard to switch it from lead/top rope but that might just be a me problem honestly. Unpackaging this thing was a nightmare but it’s good they packaged it so well 😂. Works as it should, I recommend it as a safer belay device

It’s a Grigri, only better, and heavier.
The media could not be loaded. I like that this has the stainless wear plate and the adjustable tension on the side. I am not sold on the anti panic feature but I will say I really have not had a chance to get out and use it much. I have used the petzl ID with a similar feature for rope access work and I will say it can be annoying when the rope is not fully loaded. I imagine it’s not too hard to overcome and with practice will become easy to use. This is slightly heavier than a standard Grigri and even though they are similar in size. I was able to catch this on sale so the value for the money was hard to beat. Like all Petzl products, this is built from quality materials and I am sure it will perform well for a long time.

Awesome for saddle hunting
I bought this item to use for srt ascending and descending while saddle hunting. So far the grigri+ has worked flawlessly for me no slipping smooth on ascent and descent. So far I'm very happy with this item

grigri and then some
we have an original and a plus, and I prefer using the +. not a huge upgrade, and the anti-panic actually takes a little more finesse, but worth it for the lead/top rope adjustability, and I LOVE the stainless steel inserts and remapped ergo curves. I think it was totally worth the upgrade, especially if you can find it on sale like we did!

Great product, but not for rappelling
Great product, and would have give a 5 star if it wasn't so hard to rappel with. It constantly trips the panic feature as I am going over the side of the cliff.
