What is the green plastic strip that comes in the package used for?

If the drain blockage is really close to the mouth of the drain the green strip has super sharp teeth like a reticulated python and I used it first...AND IT WORKED IMMEDIATELY!!! SUPER SHARP teeth that grabbed the hair and gook and cleared the drain.

Is it a magnet as well?

No, no magnet. Mine only had two claws, not four. Not much good for picking up anything.

No it doesn’t stay bent. It’s pretty flexible, the claw mechanism is wrapped with a casing that bends pretty well and moves with the weight of the grabber at the end.

Will this fit in a sink drain with a cross section? It is divided into four sections to get down the drain. Thanks!

Not in mine. It was very disappointing. I have a traditional kitchen sink with the four slots and this is too wide to fit. Hope this helps.

Disgustingly fantastic!!

I live in an apartment. Since I moved in, the bath kept filling up with water. I tried everything to get it to unclog and finally went for this. Hoping I could fix it without calling maintenance. Took a second to get it down the drain…but once I did….MY GOD! The grudge came out….an adult tooth brush…still curious how that got lodged in there…I’m pretty sure a science experiment came out. A small city of civilization….ancestors of man bear pig…..Oh the smell…that was a doozy…however!!! The satisfaction of using this product, and how well it clamped on to everything…was superb. I have this on stand by just WAITING for anything else to clog….oh I’m ready.

Strong and flexible

I bought this because a sock got wedged into the hose of vacuum I own. It was extremely hard to get out and the coat hanger I had didn't cut it. It took me a few tries but it worked and I got it out! The prongs are strong and flexible. Next I'll take on the drains!
