Awesome Charge Controller Rock Star
I own 3 EPEver Charge Controllers. A 20, 30 and 40 amp version. I've used this 30 amp version to build a portable charge controller in a box. I take it out in the field with me camping or star gazing and together with my extra solar panels I can charge up any of my batteries to prepare for the night time fun.Just like the other 2 units this thing is a solid performer. I have the 20 amp which is in my 4-Runner and has been running non-stop now for over 2 years without issue. It charges a 100AH 12v Wieze LiFiPo4 battery powering an AI Astro freezer. The 30 amp unit performed perfectly on our last trip providing supplemental charge to our camper system which has 2 12v 200AH batteries. Using this unit and 3 100watt panels which I could move around to follow the sun through the breaks in the trees we were able to keep everything charged without the need of the generator.EPEver keeps all my gear up and running. Solid unit, well built and durable. Consider it's little brother the 20amp is on the 4-runner being subjected to all the vibrations and bouncing of an off and on road vehicle. When I need more power in a small package I will always look to EPEver.

Very impressed! Works great!
I just purchased a new RV and needed to add solar charging as I had installed on my old RV.I was a little skeptical when I purchased this Solar Charge controller since I usually try to stay with US built products. I most always get better service and quality from US companies and a better warranty. After looking at the cost differences between the China built product and what I paid for my first solar controller "US product" I figured what the heck! I'll give it a try. And I gotta tell ya, I am impressed with this MPPT 30 amp charger! I roof installed the exact same two 7 year old 140 watt solar panels. I actually moved the same (3) 105 amp hour deep cycle batteries I had just purchase for the old RV about 6 months ago to the new RV.(Cheap sob's) only put 1 small deep cycle in the new RV. So I am pretty much comparing apples to apples except for new wiring with the same size 8awg wiring I had in the old rig. The only major component changed was the Solar charge controller as the old one was not designed to be located with a separate monitoring panel and I could not find an ideal location for it. Long story short this EP Ever 30 amp MPPT charge controller charges better than the old one with the same solar panels. The old controller was also and MPPT controller but the best I had ever seen was about 8.5 amps on very low batteries. I have seen as much as 12 amps charging with this new controller with the same (7 year old panels). It steps down through the charge process just as it should and if left on it maintains the batteries properly and also sleeps and wakes up properly once the sun rises just as it should. I do a ton of off grid backwoods or desert camping and as long as it holds up? I will be a happy camper watching the nightly news or a movie without firing up the genny... :-) Only suggestion is make sure you get the NEGATIVE Ground model if you are in the US...

Wire screws seem cheap.
Wire connection points seem cheap. Good product overall for the money.

Quality solar MPPT charger
Upgrades to a LifePo4 bank and added more solar panels. Needed a larger controlller and as my previous also was a Epever and worked for years without problems I opted for this one again. Also these newer versions have a LiFePo4 setting.

Amazing how many amps you get versus an old pwm charger.
Wow this unit is awsome! Was only getting about 4 to 5 amps out of my old pwm charger with two 100 watt windy nation panels. Not quite enough to keep you going dry camping unless you were in full sun all the time. I ordered this unit and wow! 10 to 11 amps in cool sunlight. It also regulates amazingly well. The minute you get a load it kicks up to fill amperage, the minute the batteries are up to around 13.5 volts it starts to scale back to around 1.5 to 1 amp. Also the remote meter is awsome! No more going outside to check what's going on, this unit gives you all the readings and you can also control the unit from the remote. I would have given it a full five stars but the remote cable is way too short. Just buy a normal Ethernet cable and it will work. All in all I highly recommend this unit!
