Is this board too heavy - I am worried about it hitting the kids in the head if the kids fall. The board I have now is very old and heavy.

We found it heavy and difficult to ride. There is a Hydroslide that is more pointed at the front and lighter weight. We like it better. It is easier for the young and old.

Does this kneeboard have fins?

The kneeboard does not have removable fins. It does have fins that are molded into the bottom and have a low profile, if that makes sense.
