It stops the glare that was hurting my eyes causing eye strain, I work for many hours on my laptop sometimes well into the evening it blocks the glare a lot and helps to ease eye discomfort. Fits perfectly on my screen horizontally, its an inch longer which is just perfect because it also blocks the glare from my light on my nightstand from where my desk is. I dont see any mirror effect as some say in reviews, but I think it has a lot to do with how the light from the windows may be reflecting off of their screens/position of their computer screens relative to light bouncing off of their screens causing that "mirror effect".

For my work, I stare at a computer monitor between 6 and 8 hours a day. About a year or so ago, I started to worry that I might be going blind. I constantly needed eye drops, and I developed a chronic pain behind my right eye. My eye doctor said I might be diabetic, but my blood tests did not confirm that diagnosis. By chance, I ran across an article about blue light waves emitted from computer monitors, and how they may affect a person's vision and contribute to macular degeneration. A search on Amazon brought up this particular screen and I bought one, not expecting much but intrigued by the great reviews.The relief I felt, when looking at my monitor after installing this screen, was tangible and immediate. Since that time, I have not felt the need to use eye drops, and the pain behind my right eye vanished almost overnight. Some people may be more sensitive to blue light waves than others, but if you have any concern about eye health or eye strain, this screen is worth a try. I bought a second screen for my second monitor.Installation was simple and almost non-existent. The screen has a generous lip, and the user only needs to hang the screen by its lip over the top edge of the monitor.The screen does generate a glare at times, but this is a small price to pay for the immense relief given to my eyes. Very glad I purchased this! I got two of these to cover my screens at work along with blue blocker glasses which in combination have worked wonders on my eye strain induced headaches. These do not create a noticeable difference to the screen image, but they do make a noticeable difference on my eye strain.These fit like a shelf over the screen, hanging from the top of the screen just like in the picture. When you get a new screen, you can easily move it from one to another from just sitting it on top of the new screen.These will only work on stationary screens. If you used them on a laptop screen, you would need to remove it before closing your laptop.

I have an iMac which is an anti-glare display (which I love). However, you should know that when you put on this plastic screen cover, you will get back 80% of the ambient glare and reflection in the room.I didn't think about this until I actually bought this screen protector panel. It does bum me out to be honest.Also, the screen doesn't interfere with the true colors of the display (which is great), however I also do not think this is blocking 100% of harmful blue light. I still feel a definite background amount of blue light is still coming through unfortunately (maybe 10%).I still am still holding on to an old Apple Studio Display because it was the most beautiful and eye-friendly screen I have ever seen (BETTER than the hyped "retinal displays!"). You could adjust the Light Level much LOWER on that old Studio Display than the new iMacs...and still get a very relaxing and beautiful-to-view-in-the-dark picture. On the newer iMac screen now, the LOW setting is NOT really LOW! A ton of annoying blue light still pours out of the display on the "low" "1-bar" light setting, and on "0-bars," the screen is too dark to read.So, overall, this protector is a definite improvement to help squelch the enormous amount of blue light that blasts from the iMac, and I would surely recommend this for a vast improvement in eye comfort. However, it's not a 5-star product in my view.

Excellent Hard Plastic Crystal Clear & Well Fabicaled Blue Light Monitor Filter that is easy to install and almost undetectable. Not a flimsy stick-on film that must be cut to fit. It took me several attempts to find one like this.Be sure to measure your monitor screen precisely for best fit !!!

I have an LG 27" 4K monitor (which I love), but for the online meeting world we now live in, the light output from the monitor totally 'washed me out' from a lighting perspective when my webcam was on. Now, the lighting is perfect - I can even use the light ring on my Razer Kiyo webcam (another product that I can highly recommend)! Now all I have left to add to complete my 'home streaming studio' (for beginners) is the FIFINE Studio Condenser USB Microphone I just ordered on Amazon. btw, the shield rests flat against my monitor since the monitor is quite thin and has a very narrow and flat bezel. Also, I don't understand the complaints about the 'glossy finish' or 'glare'. Any 'glare' is likely coming from a light source in your room or through a window - I have Zero 'glare' issues.

I'm a software developer and constantly staring at screens for more then 8 hours a day. After COVID stay home restriction happens, I have to use my own computer everyday, which has 3 monitors, 23.8 inch each. After a while my eyes just feel tired and sensitive to lights.
