This product is wonderful. It draws in the smallest of gnats and the largest of flys. Just plug it in and it works. The installation is easy. The light is bright enough for the bugs. The sticky card has no scent. This is all around the most affordable solution I have ever used.

I got this as a impulse buy in the late spring during a sale. Well by time summer came around we had gnats pretty bad. This is a lifesaver! It removes a good chunk of the gnats in our apartment before they can multiply and it seems to deter them away from our kitchen or that I never see any in the kitchen due to this. I love the soft blue light as it's our new nightlight when getting drinks at night from the fridge. I should probably get another for the bathroom! The pads just slide right in the holder. And it comes with two right away which should last months. This is way more cost effective than zevo. This has a price tag I can agree with compared to the thirty one with the other brand. It works just the same and is very effective In clearing my kitchen of these things. I got my mother to buy one and she loves it as well in her house. We have a lot of plants and we leave dirty dishes in the sink and this thing prevented many bugs this summer. And has continued to work in fall 2025. I definitely recommend this product it will save your home from being infested.

I bought this to catch drain flies. It will not attract drain flies, but the number of other bugs that it kills is amazing. I live in a wooded area, and mosquitoes are always flying in when I open the door. This is so easy to clean and does not stink at all! The mosquitoes cannot resist the bright light that sends them to their doom! The light is high quality and doubles as a great night light. It gives your room a black light effect, which is very cool! This thing even caught a rogue horse fly! What quality! Does not require any sort of chemical and makes no noise! Every home needs a pair of these! I find this to be the best bug solution for my RV! I originally came to know of the Safer Home plugin fly trap because my mom has been using them this summer and they were amazing at what they can trap. The glue card caught tons of tiny flies as well as large house flies. It’s way more effective than fly paper while being subtle and not having to glance at dead bugs in your face all the time. So when I started having drain flies at my place, this exact Safer Home plug in trap was a no brainer. The setup is easy and straight forward and it looks more like a night light in the bathroom than a fly trap. Within a few hours of setting this up I already caught one drain fly. In less than 10 days I already have around a dozen flies so I’m quite impressed with this product. I will definitely buy another one for the kitchen sink.

For the first time ever we had a problem with fruit flies and other gnats this year nothing seemed to work until we bought these. It is amazing how well these work I have them in multiple bathrooms and the kitchen now has night lights that just happened to catch gnats . All gnats are now gone. I have to admit I did buy refills off Amazon that were not namebrand and I do like the refills just fine, but you need the namebrand product to get the correct size and shape for the outlet.

It definitely catches multiple types of flies of various sizes, but doesn't "attract" phorid flies, (aka scuttle flies, humpback flies, or coffin flies). While it has caught a couple, they aren't attracted to UV, but they sometimes seem to congregate near my windows during the day, if anything to inspect the area as they do not stay for long. It works, but not for everything. Setup was simple. Quality is decent. Good product. Brighter than I originally thought.If you want to get rid of phorid flies, the best way to remove them or prevent them from taking your home for residence would be to keep your apartment clean. Find any sitting water (fridge drip pan, bottom dishwasher trap). Remove trash often (get a smaller can), find any left out food that has been rotting (this includes onions or garlic on the counter thats left in a bag - from personal experience). Seal trash with a tie or clamp, clean litter boxes often, etc.

Works great!! In my windowless bathroom and my galley-sized kitchen that receives minimal daylight I have replaced the full glue cards twice. They catch "no-see-ums" and regular-sized flies. Unfortunately one device has a burned out bulb so I am buying a new device. It has lasted at least 2 years throughout each season. Granted it will not work if the kitchen lights and/or ceiling fan are on--not so effective then in drawing the bugs to the UV light but , duh, isn't that logical? As far as using an outlet--I remove the device, run the needed appliance and then replace the trap. I have 2 curious kittens and the trap has survived!!! I highly recommend Safer Home fly trap.
