Short, clear, direct - great, reassuring resource for beginners (like me!) who feel a little overwhelmed by the idea of training a puppy. Gives me the confidence to continue reading up on this breed and to believe I can raise a healthy, well-behaved dog.

Short but on-point on basic steps from Bringing Puppy Home to advanced techniques. One of the basics is to speak the do's language and then basic obedience training such as sit, drop, fetch and play dead ( kidding!). The part about Leash Training Your German Shepherd and ow to Stop The Biting and Chewing are also a vital part of this book. I wish it was more comprehensive and with more pictures and steps though.

I read a lot of reviews calling this book basic and short. I found it very educational yet easy to read. It’s a great book for a beginner.

Gives a few good pointers, but this book assumes your puppy will just fall in line and be cooperative. I will take the good and move on to more intensive training.

German shepherds are a truly fascinating breed, but in order to be able to handle them properly, it would be wise to start training them from an early age. If you wanna learn how to do that without spending money on a certified dog trainer, you should totally consider getting this book. It will teach you everything you need to know about taking care of your puppy's needs and turning him into a disciplined and obedient dog.

Content was informative, just very short. I would recommend this for the cost to gain simple knowledge of basic training techniques.

I like how this book hits on main topics needed to training and live with a German Shepard. It also gives some detailed methods to use for basic and some advanced training.

This is not evan a book. It is a combination of quick research gleaned from the Internet. Dont waste your time.
